"Ready to go?" Beomgyu called, fiddling with the straps of his backpack while waiting for Jongho to catch up.

"Ready as I'll ever be."

Never in his life did he think he would end up in situations like the ones he had been through. The world is so much larger than Jongho ever could have anticipated. There was so much more to it than just Earth. The universe really is endless, isn't it? It was scary to him and something Jongho decided not to dwell on it too much until he got himself figured out.

Especially when he had so many unanswered questions. Like, where he came from or how in the world he ended up on Earth. "Does it really matter?" Mingi had told him, that familiar and reassuring smile resting on his face. "You're here now, it's got to be for a reason. Whatever that reason is, doesn't matter. If you go on and on trying to figure out the things fate laid out for you, you'll drive yourself mad."

He had a point. So many things that have happened just don't make sense but if he pondered too much over them, Jongho would lose his mind. Honestly, what kind of person would expect an angel to come monitor them? Certainly not him. Up until now, he hardly believed in gods or deities. And if you ever thought Jongho would grow attached to that angel you would be dead wrong.

Yeosang was...an experience. That was the best way he could describe their time together. He was rough, snarky and a pure pain in the ass.

Yet, strangely enough, Jongho still found himself desiring his presence every once in a while. Even with a new angel by his side, he couldn't help but miss him. Was he being clingy towards someone who was clearly not a good person? Yeah, no doubt and he was well aware that he deserves someone better. He supposed that was why God was kind enough to bless him with Beomgyu.

The water angel grinned while Jongho got one final hug from Mingi. "You promise you'll call us when you get to the airport, right?"

"Yes Mingi, I promise." Jongho chuckled at how much Mingi still cared, even if he was an adult now. "You're such a dad."

"Well, what do you expect from me? You've been here for so long, I've watched you grow and have had to spend hours glueing together mugs! I don't get to do that anymore. You can't blame me for being at least a little emotional." The pair chuckled, bringing one another into an embrace once again. When Jongho let go, he saw Yunho opening his arms as well.

"Don't tell me he's the only one who gets a hug," said the angel, pouting ever so slightly. Though Jongho rolled his eyes, he didn't hesitate to give him what he wanted and provided him with the strongest hug he could without breaking his bones, which he may have very well done when he heard Yunho groan.

He patted Jongho's head, hinting that he should let go and he responded by doing so, sheepishly apologising under his breath. "Yah, Beomgyu-ah, make sure he stays out of trouble."

"You should be telling him that," Jongho scoffed.

They said their final goodbyes and the pair were finally on their way. They had been planning this world trip for a while. As promised, the minute Jongho graduated college they packed their bags for the journey.

He had so many things he wanted to see and if he was going to do this then he wanted to do it with Beomgyu. Speaking of which, "Gyu, what are we?"

The question was one that had been on Jongho's mind for a while now but he was afraid to ask in fear of ruining what they had. So when Beomgyu took a moment to respond, it made him anxious. "We're friends, aren't we?"

"Yeah...but I-"

"Jongho," his tone became serious, making Jongho even more nervous. "I don't want to rush into anything," The angel said sincerely. "I don't want you to feel like you have to give me your all just because we're affectionate towards one another. Might lead to a bit of an imbalance in power, you know? And the last thing I want is to hurt you."

What he said made Jongho think a little. Had he really been falling like that? If so, how had Beomgyu noticed before himself?

"I want you to be comfortable," the angel continued. "We'll take everything at our own pace."

"That'll be a while, don't you think?"

Beomgyu sent him a grin. "That's the point." Soon, Jongho was smiling too. He wrapped his arm around the angel's small waist and pulled him closer as they continued to walk.

To Jongho's surprise, he felt a pair of lips fall onto his cheek, kissing it gently. "Another gift from Taehyun?" He asked, still grinning.

"Nope. That one's all from me and to start a new adventure! And I promise you, I won't chuck vehicles at you, doubt you or be selfish and keep you to myself. Though that one might be a bit difficult with the way you look."

"Just stay by my side, Beomgyu. That'll be enough for me."
