A/n hi:) I hope your having fun reading. Have a drink of water and keep reading. Oh and don't forget to have a snack and a breath of fresh air😙

*Ivy's POV*

I checked up on Ava and Reese the next day to see how they were doing.

They seemed rather friendly considering the fact that they only had known each other for less then a few days. Well, at least he seemed to be decent. That was good, since after all that trauma of what must have happened to him to end up in his condition, he most likely would want to stay with us, with the people still alive and doing quite well.

Which was understandable, and I had no argument against it, unless of course he became a freeloader, or was a bad person. I much rather stick with just Ava in that situation.

Even when some day's she seemed to hate me.

I stole a glance at them again, watching Ava pinch Reese after something he said with a matter-of-fact face, her face turning red. She looked up and noticed my stare, so I returned to drawing out a diagram of the watchtower she was so bend on building.

Normally, I would be against free labor, but if I had decided that should she design it on her own, not only would it be a nuisance by look and safety, she would most likely never listen to anything I said for the rest of our short lives out of pure spite.

*Ava's POV*

"What would you do if I just jumped into the water right now?" He said with a playful tone. I turned red and pinched his arm.

"I'd push in a zombie to chase you around." I answered, embarrassed to the core.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Ivy staring at us, mainly Reese, with a suspicious expression and I hope that she had not been listening to the conversation.

Now that, would be a reason for me to open the gate and just grab the nearest zombie and bite it. You know, uno reverse card.

She soon came over with the design, and I looked over it while Reese made small talk with Ivy.

"Hey," he began, barely catching her attention, not even causing her head to turn his way. A blow to anyone's pride.

I thought she was going to continue ignoring Reese, but to my surprise she replied.

"Hello. Reese, how are you? Is Ava being alright to you?" Her voice seemed neutral, almost as if she were thinking of something completely else and did not give a crap about the conversation. Another score to knocking down Reese.

"I feel way better with some food and water," he nervously laughed before continuing "Ava's nice, I think we get along just perfect." Ivy simply nodded.

"Any questions on the watchtower, Ava?" I shook my head.

"Call me if you need anything. I'll send the locations of any supplies that you need if you ask." Ivy then walked away and grabbed her bike.

"If you ever change your mind about that bow I'm always here!" I call to her, the corners of her mouth lifting up. I smiled at that myself and watched her leave.

As soon as the gate was closed I turned back to Reese and without any hesitation, with eyebrows lifted commented "Your confidence, Ivy exists, confidence six feet deep. Perish weak man."

"Ouch." He flinched a bit and I stopped.

"You alright there?"

"Yeah... I need to go." With narrowed eyes I let him walk away from me, and enter the treehouse.

Has I hurt him that bad? I was horrible. No wonder Ivy didn't want to stay the night. She probably got tired of me after a few hours of dealing with my attitude.

I waved away my thoughts and got up form where I had sat beside him.

"Well now both of us feel crap." I sighed and went to water the plants in the garden.
