Friday

"Y/n.."

"Y/n, hey."

I forced my eyes open to a blinding light before quickly looking away from my window and to the source of the voice. It was a smiling Frank. "Hey. Time to get up." Damn I must have been exhausted, having Frank wake me up was typically supposed to be the other way around. "You look horrible, you ok?" He hummed, Gerard appearing vaguely in the doorway. "Yeah." I sat up. "Now get out I need to get changed." I said, glancing at the small clock on my desk. I had 20 minutes, not bad. I stood up and had a satisfying stretch before lurching over to my dressing unit. I got all the things I was going to be changing in to and quickly did so. When I was in uniform I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth.

I opened my mouth to place the brush in and started moving it around a bit. I was stopped on my front teeth. Every time I pressed down on my canines it hurt a little. Don't tell me I'm getting those classic fangs. Ugh. This is gonna be so hard to hide. I finished brushing my teeth and made my way downstairs to the boys.

"Hey." Mikey smiled at me as Gerard directed his view toward me. "What are you wearing to the dance tonight?" Mikey sprung up from the couch and followed me into the kitchen. "Not sure, probably gonna whip something out of my wardrobe." I shrugged. "I would yell at you for the lack of effort but yet again I'm going in something along those lines." He sat on the counter next to me as I slowly started to recall last night's events. It all felt like a dream but I knew it wasn't, considering how thirsty I was.

I was on my third cup of water and my mouth still felt dry... weird. "You ok?" Mikey chuckled. "Yeah, just thirsty." I nodded. "Hey, guys, come on." Frank peered around the door.

On the way we met up with Patrick and Joe. They were talking about something when I zoned out, playing with the ring on my finger. I slid it off a little bit and I noticed something when I did. That's why the ring's there! It helps protect me from sunlight. Makes sense... I think. Well that's good to know. "You excited for tonight?" Patrick gave a playful look as he wiggled his eyebrows. "What?" I frowned a little. "The dance, dummy." He scoffed. "Oh, yeah, I'm buzzing." I said in a monotonous tone. "Clearly." He said before going back to annoying Frank about something... I couldn't tell which was shorter. Patrick was I think.

We approached the school gates and split up into our little groups. Mikey and I had science first period so we did our usual and arrived there. Gerard and I were sat together since the teacher let us pick our own threes for a practical. We were supposed to be doing something with bunsen burners. Gerard walked us through it because Mikey and I were too busy talking while the teacher explained.

"Ok, so this is magnesium." He picked up a small metal piece with a pair of tweezer-scissor thingies and showed it to us. "When I light it, you can't look straight at it, it'll hurt your eyes so look from the side of your eye." He demonstrated, tilting his head to the left slightly and directing his eyes toward the fire contraption before us. Mikey and I did as told and saw as a bright beam emitted from the burning metal. It was cool. "Now, Y/n." Gerard placed the char onto the table and handed me some kind of grey fuzz with the scissors. I held onto them. "Put the wool into the flame and watch what happens." He grinned. He was probably trying to kill me but whatever. I did so and it started to drop weird little thingies. I burned the whole thing, it was worth it though, it looked cool.

"You want some?" Mikey offered me a bag of crisps. "No thanks, I'm ok." I declined politely. He looked offended. "Did- did you just say no to food?" He frowned. Uh oh, I think he was catching onto something being off. "I have a stomachache. Don't wanna fuel it or anything." I made up a swift excuse and he seemed to be more at ease. "Ok." He went back to talking to Pete.

I got a little bored over their stupid conversation and started to play with Ray's fluffy hair. "So, Gerard, you excited to see Louise all dolled up?" Frank smirked. I burned hot with jealousy. But why? Why would I even need a boyfriend?  "Yeah." He didn't actually seem too happy about it, strangely enough. But why should I care? "Patrick and Elisa are going together." Pete winked playfully. "Shut up." Patrick blushed. "Aww, someone has a girlfriend!" I added onto the flustered look plastered on his red face. "You're literally going with Mikey!" He shot back at me. "Yeah, as friends." I glanced over to Mikey who shared the same look Patrick did before. Gerard went quiet.

As soon as break had ended we made our way toward the drama block. I was kinda excited because we hadn't done drama really before as a class so I looked forward to messing around with Mikey.

We entered the building and was greeted by the scent of cheap perfume. So it's one of those teachers. Mkay.

"Alright, you will each collect a script pack each. In groups of 5 you will all choose a character." The teacher explained before we all went towards the table with the folders on.

I ended up in a group with Gerard, Mikey, Louise and Ray. The script's title was 'Romance play 3', almost as if on queue, Louise spoke the words 'I'm Olivia! Gerard's Dean!' meaning that, from my understanding, they were supposed to be the lovebirds... great.
