When I entered the hall, the lights were on and there were only staff members and a few girls taking pictures together. The music was off too. It occurred to me that the dance was over. I had technically missed it. Eh, I didn't really care. Plus the boys were probably at home and there was nothing to worry about. Frank might be mad when I come back home but at least he'd know I didn't get kidnapped or something.

I walked out the main entrance and past the car park, where many people were getting into cars in groups ranging from 2-5 people. Truman Drive happened to be right by school so I wouldn't be walking a long way. I approached where Mikey and Gerard's house was and as I gazed up at the building, something felt wrong.

I decided on walking the feeling off by going over to the park nearby the old cemetery.

I entered the park through the squeaky gate, which had clearly seen better days, and sat on a metal bench which was cold on my skin, not uncomfortably cold though. I had a clear view of the cemetery, the gothic church and the memorial statues. It was truly beautiful. I let my eyes wander until they scanned over two people.

A man, a tall silhouette, stood adjacent to a smaller figure, still tall though. They seemed to be talking, but aggressively. More of an argument. I felt it was best not to stick around and wait for whoever was going to storm off to see me so I made my way back, still feeling a little absurd.

I stood at my front door and lifted my hand to knock, then choosing to instead lower it. I turned around for the second time and walked over to the Way residence's front door. I hesitantly knocked. I could hear the old stairs creaking.

Mikey opened the door, shivering as the night air hit him. "Dude, it's like 11pm, why are you he-" He looked as if he was going to scold me but his face softened. "Why are you still in your dress, and where were you?" He let me in, shutting the door. "I went on a walk." "Mmmmkay." He looked at me skeptically. "How's Gerard?" I had a sour taste in my mouth thinking about what Louise did. "He seems off, I chose to leave him alone but you can go down and see him. I'll be in my room upstairs if you need me, probably asleep." He yawned as he went back upstairs, the sound of a door closing following.

I took off my boots, relieving my feet, and slowly pushed the door down to the basement open. I could vaguely hear the TV playing. I walked down the stairs into the comfortably warm room. I looked to where Gee's bed was to see him looking over at me. "Hey." I walked to him. "Why are you over this late, does Frank know where you are?" He asked. "I couldn't sleep." I shrugged, ignoring the latter question. "Y/n." He sat up, seemingly starting a serious conversation. "Yes?" I responded.

"Why did it have to be you?" Tears welled up in his eyes, glazing over his hazel coloured irises. "What do you mean?" I felt his hand hold mine. "Why did he have to bite you?" He's gonna be mad at Rem. This is bad. "Also, who even is he?" But he knew Remington. As if responding to my mental statement he spoke. "You and him aren't a thing right? He looks like 25!" Definitely not Remington, he's clearly my age. "No." I was a little confused. "Well why did he take you?" He was on about Drew. "We needed to talk." I shortened it.

"Whatever I'm too tired for this." Gerard seemed to have given up. He tucked himself deeper into his sheets, pausing for a second before lifting up the covers on my side, offering for me to get in. "In this dress? You got a shirt I could wear?" I could admit, I, too was ready for bed. "On the dresser next to the door." He yawned, half asleep. "Ok." I walked over and grabbed it, it was a Misfits tank top, far too big, just how I liked it. Since his room was dark, and I was on the other side of the room, I undressed. I then slid on the top. When I turned to him, he was pretty much asleep. I walked over to the bed and crawled in with him. His body heat making me shiver was a new sensation ever since I, well, died. But it was something I could definitely get used to.
Almost out of instinct, my arm snaked around his waist and pulled his limp body toward me, clinging to him and cherishing his warmth.

There was something about him that made my stomach feel weird, whether it's his ability to not care that I'm dead or simply the way he looked at me, I didn't know. I just knew I liked it.
