Violence warning. Chapter 3/3

Wild, heavy pants escaped my lips as I squirmed away from the blade in his hand. "Keep still you little bitch." He hissed, Louise picking at her nails to his left. "Die." I grinned up at him, not paying attention as he drew blood through a thin slice in my forearm. My teeth clenched shut to endure the sting. I fought against him, kicking and screaming until, silence.

The doors to the church creaked open slowly, letting in needed light. At least I could see better. Andy had jumped up to see who was there. I didn't care, I just needed to get away. I dragged myself to my feet, certain that I had sprained both ankles struggling against the man. I turned to the door to see a group of people, was it a cult? A cult of vampires who wanted to sacrifice me?

No.

It wasn't.

It was a group of boys. My boys. Even Remington and two other unfamiliar boys. All were armed with pointy sticks, some shorter than others. I didn't waste time looking as I skittered across the dark wood floor to an open room with a spiral staircase in it, that supposedly must lead to either the belltower or the balcony, both would do. Louise caught onto this, trailing behind me. I rushed up the staircase, thank god I didn't trip with the speed I was moving at. Voices of anger came from downstairs, yells, shouting. But not of pain... as if two siblings were arguing, like a daily household thing. But it surely wasn't Gerard and Mikey, not at a time like this.

On the balcony, I raced to the other side, Louise following. "Why do you have to make things so difficult! I'll throw you off that ledge!" The purple haired girl spat at me. "Oh I don't know Louise, maybe to avoid my demise! I should've snapped your stupid neck after I drained you!" A rush of confidence washed over my battered and bruised body, cold like ice. "Maybe you should've." She scowled, running at me. I was in a corner, but I had ideas. Louise came at me like a bull seeing red, charging at the speed of light. As she came in contact with my left shoulder, I shifted aside, slamming her body, slightly larger than mine, into the wall, her hitting it with a 'THUD'. I needed to get out of this area.

I smirked and raced towards the stairs, ascending to the bell tower level. I crawled up onto it and stood on the ledge, awaiting her. Something awakened in me, something wrong, but something completely necessary at the time. A necessary evil. Her fingers clasped onto the opposite side, showing she had arrived. Now, I could just stand on them and let the magic happen but I wanted her to go out with a bang. Or more of a splat.

Louise rose from her knees, looking me dead in the eyes. I started to have second thoughts.

Could I really kill her?

Was it worth it?

Was it deserved?

These thoughts flew into the frosty air, cascading away into the night sky and as I studied her dirtied face, I remembered what she had done. My veins, no longer working, filled with anger. Unreleased rage. The almost sick looking girl came towards me, trudging as if in a dream-like state from the blow she had taken. I had the upper hand as I was running on pure adrenaline and without hesitation I gripped her throat, watching her shoot awake. Her hands rose to slap and punch me, but I was resistant. I pushed her back to where she had originally stood and her eyes widened as her feet just met the edge.

THLAT

Her body hit the dirt, her neck snapped conveniently. I stared down at the girl, a subtle sorrow emerging in me. Poor thing, at least Andy won't use her anymore, all she needed was some good morals and a little bit of human decency. I climbed down from the misty rooftop and moved from step to step, in a steady rhythm. My eyes met the moonlit scene.

"HOW COULD YOU?" Remington shamed, tears rolling down his pale cheeks. Andy was silent. "YOU TOOK HER FROM ME JUST TO KILL HER!" Who? Silence. "YOU PRICK!" Remington pounded angry fists against Andy's chest, the resemblance between the two was weird, brother like. A pirate like boy stood behind Remington, pulling him away slightly. One taller guy in a suit did the same and as Remington was pulled into a corner and consoled, Gerard stepped forward.

"You fucking suck!" He raised the stake, trying to stab away at the man but his reflexes were fast. I quickly rushed behind one of the pews, searching for something, anything. Frank seemingly noticed me and while Gerard and Andy scuffled, and the other three boys jumped in. Mikey and Ray covered Frank so Andy wouldn't notice the stunt he was about to pull. I nodded my head as my brother kneeled slightly and rolled the pointy oak wood to me. I stopped it with my index finger, holding it like it was a gem.

I snuck up behind Andy, looking up at the boy in a suit who was trying to help Gerard. His blue eyes met mine and I showed him the makeshift stake. He smiled briefly before using his strength, as the one whose size was pretty much the same as Andy's, to spin him to face me. The boys behind him pushed him forward, catching onto the window of opportunity.

Now.

I leapt up and pierced through his white button up, the wood going straight through it and tearing through his flesh. Thanks boys for the great crafts. I got the same rush I did with Louise but stronger... way stronger. I plunged it as deep as I could, groaning as a few splinters sunk themselves into my hands.

The artificial life flickered from his icy blues as he choked.

Slowly moving away, the group behind him let him drop to the floor, but three. Remington and the two new ones slowly lowered him to the ground. The smallest one with the hat seemed to be choking back sobs as he closed the man's eyes for him.

I breathed heavily, swallowing saliva rapidly, my throat was burned raw from all the sudden action.

"Y/n." Gerard rushed to my side, Frank and the boys too.
