I went upstairs and began to get ready for a shower. It was weird; everything went so fast. It was just praying he was okay. I was happy just to get clean. I got into clean clothes. I soon headed out in pajama shorts and a tank. I texted my parent's group chat.
"Hey, Missy and I made it to Colorado."
"Thanks for texting us earlier." My mom texted.
"Sorry, today has been crazy."
I put my phone down to see Evan in the doorway.
"Hey," He said.
"Sup," I responded.
"Nice work today."
"Thanks."
"How did you know what to do?"
"My mom's a nurse; I'm going to school for this stuff."
"Cool,"
I was still shaken up.
"Are you okay?"
"How are you?" I continued. "Zack was shot, and there are people after us."
He went up and hugged me. I began to cry.
"It's going to be okay." He told me.
Our faces soon inched closer. I kissed him. I quickly moved away.
"I'm sorry," I said.
"It's okay." He said, grabbing my hands.

Ollie seemed upset, so I wanted to check on her. I knew she was lying that she was okay as soon as we started talking. When we kissed, something felt weird but right. When she began to apologize. I just grabbed her hands and kissed her once again.
"Wow," she said.
"What?" I asked.
"Everything has just been crazy."
"I know," I continued. "I'll let you go to bed."
I began to walk toward the door.
"Wait!" She said.
I turned, and then she got up and kissed me once again. She then wrapped her arms around me.
"Thank you." She whispered in my ear.
"Awe," Missy said from the doorway.
"God Dammit, Missy!"
She let go of me.
"Goodnight." I pipped up.
"Night." She responded.
