<AdventourousOllie>Hey, We need to talk.
I was woken up by this message.
<WreckageEvan>Sure, What's up?
<AdventourousOllie>No
We need to talk on video
<WreckageEvan>Okay
Our call soon started.
"Oh!" She started
"What?" I asked.
Her eyes were a vivid emerald green. She had long dark brown hair in a bun. She was in a ratty t-shirt which I assumed was from her parents' old school. She was cute and looked innocent. But her eyes told me a different story.
"I thought you were just an old perve trying to scam my cousin and me out of money." She explained.
There was an awkward silence.
"I'm sorry, that came out bitchy... I've been out of it recently."
"It's okay," I continued. "So why did you call me?"
She proceeds to tell me the story she already told you.
"Oh," I responded.
I couldn't think of anything.
"Oh?"
She looked confused. That look soon turned into disappointment.
"I gotta go." She said.
"Wait," I said.
"What?"
"I don't know everything, but...my great-grandpa left me a clue."
"Wait, Really."
"One second, let me go get it."
"I'll be here, I guess."
I got up and grabbed it off my parent's desk.
"I'm back," I announced.
"What did he leave you?" She asked.
"A letter."
"Read it...if you want to."
"Okay, I will," I said playfully.
I proceeded to open the letter.
"Dear Charlie,"
I began when I was interrupted.
"Whose, charlie?" Ollie asked.
"My dad," I explained.
I continued to read the letter.
"To my dearest grandson, the information in this about your future. At the age of twenty-five, you will have a baby boy. He will get powers beyond all your wildest dreams. These powers will come in on May 25 at seven am. His body will slip into a comma to handle the amount of power he's going to have. But he won't be alone; five other kids will go through this. I wish you the best.
Love,
Grandfather Dan."
I finished reading. We both looked at each other in shock.
"Well, that explains it," I said.
"I have powers." She announced. "I'm not going crazy."
I chuckled.
"No, you are not."
"So what now?"
"We have to get off the grid."
"We would be considered runaways."
"I know, but I would rather have then anyone end up dead."
