Chapter#29:Going Home

We packed the snacks and headed to the car. I was too tired to be mad at Zack. I'm just happy Evan is still with me.
"One last car ride, kids," Evan said, trying to excite the group.
"Why are you such a Dad?" Missy asked.
"Now, he will be an actual dad." Zack pipped up.
I flipped Zack off. Evan grabbed my waist and turned me around.
"I love you." He said.
"I love you too," I responded.
We finally started to pile into the car. Evan wrapped his arms around me.
"What are you smiling about?" I asked.
"I got my best friend back." He responded. "Now we are going to bring someone we are going to love into the world."
He touched my stomach. I soon moved and sat on his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I soon fell asleep.

We finally reached the cabin. I still had a sleeping Ollie in my arms. I kissed her forehead.
"She's out," I mentioned to Missy.
"Oh." She responded.
She then pushed the seat in front of me down. I handed Ollie to Sam and then got out and then grabbed Ollie. We walked onto the porch. Missy grabbed the key from under the welcome mat. We headed into the cabin. I immediately went upstairs and saw a hallway with five rooms. I ran into one of the rooms, placed Ollie onto the bed, and tucked her into bed. I soon closed the door.
"You love her, don't you?" Zack said, scaring the shit out of me.
"I've never felt this way about anyone before," I explained as we headed downstairs.
I started to help Sam bring the suitcases in. Bailey, Missy, and Eva had headed to bed. Zack headed to bed. Sam and I began to talk.

"So what now?" Evan asked.
"We sleep, then we plan for our job search," I explained.
"I want to do something crazy."
"What is it?"
"I'm probably going crazy."
"Evan, we have been through a lot. Don't keep secrets."
"Fine... I want to ask Ollie to marry me."
"Oh."
"It's crazy."
"No, I'm surprised you haven't done it sooner."
"So it's not crazy?"
"Evan, I've gone from being an only child to getting two brothers and three sisters." I continued. "Getting married isn't the craziest thing I've heard in the past month."
"I need to sleep on it."
"I agree."
"Night."
"Night."
I soon headed to my room and fell asleep.

I woke up to the smell of bacon. I soon came out of my room.
"Morning!" Ollie said.
She was cooking food for an army.
"Morning." I continued. "How long have you been up?"
"Since seven. I wanted to get food, but the fridge was already stocked."
"Oh."
I sat down on the stool next to the counter.
"Why is everyone still sleeping?"
"We didn't all take a twenty-one-hour nap, Ollie."
"To be fair, I think the lack of sleep when they were doing tests caught up to me."
"True."
Soon everyone came downstairs and ate breakfast. We then began to talk about our next steps.

I sat up in the chair I was in. I was looking on my phone for our job after our talk. I began to hear the noise of what sounded like soft music.
"What the hell?" I thought to myself.
I looked at Sam.
"I hear it too," Sam responded.
"You need to stop doing that," I responded.
We both got up from the couches that we were sitting in. Missy and Eva were talking in the kitchen. Ollie was playing music as Evan was washing dishes.
"Do you hear that?" Sam asked.
"What no?" Ollie responded.
"Guys shut up," I said.
Zack was walking into the main room.
"What's going on?" Zack asked.
"Do you hear that?" I asked.
"Does it sound like muffled music?"
"Yes!"
We soon went into the backyard with everyone else in toe. We finally made it to the cellar doors. Music was playing from the other side.
"What the hell?" I thought.
Eva soon grabbed one of the doors, and Ollie grabbed the other. I held up three fingers to count down. Then a two. Then a one. Ollie and Eva, there's the doors open. Zack and I got our powers charged up, ready to attack. There was a lady who turned around.
"Mom?" Ollie asked.
"Hi." She responded.

The group and our families awkwardly walked into the house.
"Sit!" Ollie demanded.
"You can say please, Olivia." Ollie's mom pipped up.
"This isn't the time for manners."
I went to the fridge when Eva came downstairs.
"Oh shit," Eva said, running to the main floor. "Parents on one side, kids on the other."
"Why should we listen to you?" Missy's dad asked.
"Well, sir... I'm a person of both worlds."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm normal; I don't have powers."
She stood on the chair.
"I also have been a part of the hell your children have been through. So please sit the fuck down before I lost my shit on you."
She jumped off the chair. This made me chuckle.
"Anyway, to avoid chaos, one person on one side asks a question and the people on the other side answer vice versa. One person will ask and one person who'll choose to answer."
"Okay." The group responded.
"I'll go first." Ollie's mom pipped up. "How did you find this place?"
"The compound," Ollie responded. "My turn, when we're you planning to tell us about any of this?"
Ollie had pure anger in her eyes.
"We told our son."  Evan's mother brought up. "You guys didn't tell you, kids?"
"No, they didn't," Ollie said, interrupting the adults. "Your son told us about everything he knew."
"What are your guy's powers?" My dad asked.
"Fire," I responded
I began to point at the group.
"Time control, weather, plants, water, mind control."
I grabbed a monster and took a drink.
"Where have you been?" Evan asked.
"Here." Bailey's mom pipped up.
"So your meaning to tell me-"Ollie started.
"Ollie, no." Evan pipped up.
"You hid here, while Zack got shot, Sam got possessed, I got shot by an arrow. I also got two black eyes, one from a guard and one from Zack. Then Sam, Evan, and I got fucking kidnapped. I was tortured for nine days. This happened while you guys were here being cozy?" Ollie explained angrily.
"It was the best for the group."  Evan's dad pipped up.
"Sure, face your children to grow up and believe you're dead."
Ollie left outside to cool off. She soon jumped as Evan ran outside. In a little bit of time, she returned. She started to cry in fear. I ran out.
"Had that ever happened before?" I asked.
"Nope," Ollie responded.
Evan soon grabbed her hand and went on one knee.
"Evan, what are you doing?" Ollie asked.
"I love you, Ollie, and this might sound crazy, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you and our child. Will you marry me?" Evan explained.
"Of course." She said.
He pulled out a string and tied it around her finger.
"I'll get you a better one later," Evan said.
"I love it," Ollie responded.
Evan got up and kissed her.
