Chapter#19: The Next Day

A call waked me up from my mom.
"Hi," I said.
I soon saw Evan next to me.
"Holy shit!" I screamed.
"What?"My mom questioned.
"Nothing." I continued. "What's up."
This unintentionally woke up Evan.
"I'm sorry." I mouthed.
"Is this a bad time?" My mom asked.
At the same time, Evan asked.
"Did we?"
I shook my head.
"Yes!NO! I mean, no, this isn't a bad time."I said.
"I will call you later."
"Okay, bye, I love you."
"Bye, love you too."
I threw my phone across the room into a chair.
"So, we-" He asked.
"Yep," I answered.
He tackled me onto the bed. I kissed him.
"I think I love you." He said.
"What?"I asked.
"Sorry. I know it was-"
I kissed him.
"I'm messing with you." I continued. "I love you too."
He kissed me.

"I think we should get ready for breakfast," I said.
"Boo!"She whined.
I kissed her neck. I got up and wrapped a blanket around my waist. She put on a sweatshirt with a faded school logo. As well as black leggings. I wrapped my arms around her.
"This is crazy." She continued. "But it feels right."
She kissed me.
"I'm going to get dressed," I told her.
"Okay."She responded, kissing my cheek.
I headed downstairs to see no one there. I soon saw Missy still asleep on the couch. I opened my door, and the blanket fell. I heard a scream come from behind me. I look to see Missy awakened.
"Shit!" I ran into my room.
I soon heard doors open. I quickly changed into black athletic shorts with a grey bro tank. I slowly opened my door and silently sat next to her.
"So you saw-" I asked.
"Yep."She responded.
"Do you never want to speak about this again?"
"Yep."
"Okay, I'll see you at breakfast."
I got off the couch and headed to the kitchen.

Evan clobbering waked me up down the stairs. I saw everything when the blanket fell. I screamed, and that caused everyone else to wake up. By this time, Evan was in his room. Zack and Sam were the first to come out. Sam immediately ran back into his room.
"What the hell happened?"Zack asked.
"I saw Evan's...." I pointed to my crouch.
"Oh."
He began to laugh. Soon more people started to come and ask me what happened. The most interesting thing so responded with was Ollie.
"Why the hell were you screaming?"She asked.
"Well, I woke up to being flashed by Evan," I explained.
"Goddammit, babe."
"You guys are dating?"
"Yep!"
"Awe!"
"Shut up!"
She flipped me off.
"Awe, thanks."
We began to have a middle finger battle. We both stopped it by laughing. The Evan red of the face came out of his room. I was questioned, and then he left to go to the kitchen. All I could do was laugh.

After the craziness from that morning, we all sat down for breakfast. Little did any of us know, this was our last regular breakfast. Ollie got up and suddenly headed to the living room. I finished and heard Ollie crying. I soon led to the living room and was joined by Eva. Ollie was a mess; She was on her knees crying. We both sat on both sides of her.
"Ollie! What's wrong, sweetie?"I asked.
She looked up to see both of us.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want anyone to hear me," She explained.
"It's okay; what happened?"
"My...parents were killed...I just got off the phone with the police."
"Holy shit!" Eva continued."Are your siblings okay?"
"I don't know."
She began to cry again. We helped her to Evan's room.
"We will be right back; We need to talk," I explained.
We left her on the bed crying. I pulled Eva into the living room.
"Holy shit, Holy Shit, HOLY SHIT!" Eva panicked.
"Shh!" I continued. "We need to get Missy into Evan's room."
"Then?"
"We will tell everyone what happened when or if she's ready."

Everyone at the table knew when Ollie left. The girls came back to the table.
"Where's Ollie?"Evan asked.
"She's in your room trying to calm down," Eva explained.
"Excuse me, what?"He continued."I'm going to check on her."
"Evan, no!"
"Why not?"
"It's a family issue."
"Okay, so?"
"Missy, go!"Eva pipped up.
She got up and went to his room.
"Didn't we agree to be honest?" Sam pipped in.
"Exactly," Evan responded.
"Fine."Eva pipped up.
"No." Bailey shut it down.
"Let Eva speak!"Evan demanded.
"Fine!"
"Zack, you've been silent. Do you have anything to say about this?"
"Nope, just observing," I answered.
I sipped my water and sank into my chair. This was when Ollie came out just crying as well as Missy.
"Check on your family members. Now!"She demanded.
A look of confusion came across the group's face.
"Just do it," Missy added.

I was reluctant to check my phone. Something felt off after Ollie came into the room. Sure enough, my parents were dead. I went into shock as well as everyone else. The room was deathly silent.
"I-I think we all deserve a group hug."
Ollie's voice broke the silence. People reluctantly got together.
"Come on, Sam," Bailey said.
I reluctantly joined the group. Evan soon broke the silence again.
"Hey, look on the bright side," He continued. "We already fight over stupid shit like a normal family."
That caused relief of tension in the room. I felt the coldness of tears come down my face as I remembered memories of my family in the cabin. Let's say there was an unbreakable friendship growing.
"Let's have a sleepover tonight." Ollie brought it up.
"Where?"I asked.
"Down here."
"Why?"Zack asked.
"No one is going to be alone tonight."
We made fort-like children and watched movies. Ollie made cookies, and Zack made popcorn. I ended up passing out in the middle of the second movie.
