I woke up asleep on the cold ground of the van. The only way I could see the outside was a window in the roof of the truck. I turn on my side to see a passed-out Evan. I kissed his cheek. I proceeded to get back up and saw sam awake.
"Morning," I said.
"You guys are cute," He said.
"Thanks," I answered.
He looked at me like he wanted to say something to me.
"Is he okay?" I thought to myself.
"Yeah, why?" He questioned.
        "Oh."
"What?"
"Yeah, can I not feel bad? I almost killed you."
"What?"
"You didn't ask if I was okay?"
"Nope."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"I'm going crazy."
"No."
"What the hell is happening?"
"Oh my god."
"Tell me."
"Sam, I think you can read people's minds."
"Wait, what?"
"I think you read my mind."
The car suddenly stopped and threw me to the ground.
"What?"Evan said, waking up.

I woke up in the back of Bailey's car.
"Morning," Eva said.
I was a somewhat closeted gay in a car filled with girls.
"Morning," I answered.
"Do you want a breakfast burrito?"Eva questioned.
"I'm good."I continued. "Where are we going?"
"Home," Eva said.
"But-"
"I know."
"Then why are we going?"
"Closure."Bailey pipped up.
"Oh," I answered.
An awkward silence fell over the car.
"Well, as of right now." Bailey paused. "Somewhere in Colorado"
"Cool! How long have we been on the road?"
"About an hour."
"I'll take one of the burritos."
Eva handed me one with Mcdonald's wrapping. I ate it as I watched the scenery outside. Life had deranged drastically in only two weeks. We were all lost.

I woke up when the car stopped. I saw Ollie distressed.
"What's wrong?"I asked.
"Babe, think of something."She said.
"Um, okay?"
"What is he thinking about?"
"You," Sam responded.
"What?How?"I questioned.
Ollie moved over to me. She proceeded to break her zip ties.
"What are you doing?"I asked.
She kissed me.
"I love you-."
She was interrupted by the doors opening.

I didn't want to go back after everything that happened. I didn't want to until Bailey insisted. My best friend was kidnapped. I was now with a group of people who I barely know. We were no on a car trip no one wanted. I tried to be okay with any of this. I didn't cry. I only felt numb.

"You're free to go." The guard continued. "The girl stays."
"What no!"Evan protested.
The guards climbed into the back of the van. They both held onto each other. Two guards attempted to pull them apart.
"Stop!" Ollie screamed. "Let me say goodbye...then I will go with you."
We were all pushed out of the van.
"This can't be happening," I said.
"I'm going to be okay."She responded.
She hugged me and whispered something in my ear.
"Protect him while I'm gone."
"Of course," I answered.
She then looked to a distraught Evan. They both looked at each other as tension began to build. Evan soon hugged her. They both kissed each other with a love I've never seen before.
"There has to be another way," Evan said.
He was lost in her eyes.
"I don't think so."
I went up to the lovebirds.
"It's time."The guard said.
They both kissed once again. Evan took off his sweatshirt. She then gave him a necklace.
"I will find you. Evan said.
Ollie walked into the van.

I was the first one awake. I think everyone was saddened, confused, and scared.
"Morning," Missy said.
I screamed.
"Sorry," I said. "You just scared me."
"You've got a lot on your mind?"
"No shit, sherlock." I continued. "Sorry, I do...do you blame me?"
"Not at all." She continued. "So what now?"
"I think we should go to each of our houses."
"Why?"
"We need to have closure, Missy."
"I know."
"Okay."
"Whose house are we going to first?"
"Well, your's is technically closer."
"No..."
"Why not?"
"I can't...I'm not ready."
She began to freak out.
"Hey, hey... It's going to be okay. We will be there to support you."
"Okay, Let's go."
