Chapter#20:The Morning After

I woke up that next morning with a gun to my face.
"Hi," I said.
"Get up."The soldier demanded.
I rose to see guards around us. I tried to use my powers. A force held me down. The pressure caused me to throw up.
"Get in line." A soldier demanded.
He placed a gun to my head. I followed their orders. The lady from before was walking the line of scared teenagers.
"What do you want from us?"Ollie stood up.
"Shut up!"
One of the soldiers took the back of his gun and hit Ollie with it.
"Know your place, rat."
Evan got up, trying to stand up for his girlfriend.
"Evan! Sit down!" I demanded.
Evan kept eye contact with me. He sat down and began to comfort Ollie. Zack, Sam, and Bailey all headed to the wall.
"Guys?"Zack questioned.
"Don't try," I answered.
The lady stopped in the middle of them.
"Now, we wait for your friend," She explained.
"Leave her out of this."Bailey pleaded.
"Fine, She's not who we are looking for anyway."
The guy handed her what looked like a taser gun.
"We don't have enough room for all of you. So, I need to scan you to figure out levels of power in all of you." The lady explained.
It took her a couple of minutes of scanning and secret talks with her henchman.
"Okay, these are the people leaving with us."She said.

My face was stinging when she announced it to the group.
"Olivia, Evan, and Sam."She said.
"What?"Missy questioned.
A soldier grabbed me by the waist and started to pull Evan and me apart. I was digging my hands into his.
"No," I screamed.
Our hands were finally separated. The next thing I knew, I was thrown in the back of the car. I had zip ties around my wrists. The only thing I could feel was the cold metal on the floor of the van.

Let's say everything went to shit real quick. Once Ollie was taken, I slowly got up.
"Evan, whatever your thinking, stop!" Missy whispered.
I flipped her off and punched one of the guards. More soon came and tackled me to the ground. They placed zip ties around my hands. I attempted to get away, but the force shot me from before. They picked me up and threw me into a van. I slowly looked up to see a scared Ollie.
"Babe?"She cried.
I got up and attempted to comfort her.
"It's okay! I'm here," I consoled her.

I was the only one who got up and got into the van. I saw the lovebirds together. My legs hit the cold metal ground. The doors were thrown shut.
"Sup," I said.
"Hi," Evan said,
"So this is happening?"I continued. "We are being kidnapped."
"That's what's happening?"Ollie pipped up.
"Yep, but we have each other," Evan explained.
"Yeah, but for how long? I asked.
"I don't know."
We rode the rest of that car ride that day in silence.

After the three were taken, we were thrown outside. One of the soldiers had the gun keeping us weak. I attempted to use my eyes to signal Zack. He looked at me and shook his head. Zack tackled the soldier down. Sudden energy flowed through me. Water from the nearby pond circled me. I knocked down the line of soldiers coming toward me.
I soon ran for the ground and broke it in half. We knocked every soldier down. The main three sped away in the car. We all looked at each other. I heard the sound of the fire crackling behind me forced me to turn around. I saw the house on fire.
"Guys?"I asked.
Zack, Missy, and Eva soon turned around.
"Oh shit!"Missy responded.
"It's not my fault," Zack answered defensively.

"So what now?"Bailey asked.
"We need a car and a form of transportation," Eva explained.
Eva was thrown out of the house with us, which woke her up.
"I-I can get stuff...the flames won't touch me."I offered.
"Okay." The rest of the group responded.
I headed inside to the weirdest sight. The house glowed neon orange. I quickly grabbed the keys and phones. I jumped through the windows. I soon felt the cold rush of water on my back.
"Thank you.:" I said with my face on the ground.
I got up and headed to the group. We began to sort through the keys and phones. I grabbed my keys and placed everyone else's keys in my pocket.
"We can't take Zack's car because of the obvious," Bailey said.
"Why can't we use my car?"I asked.
"Oof!"Missy said.
"Let's use bailey's car." Eva pipped in.
I handed her the key to her car.
"Okay, Let's go," Bailey said.
Everyone soon pilled into her car. We were now on the road. Silent, with no idea where we were going.
