Chapter 29
"Indriya stop! Listen to Agni! He's right you know, you will only be a liability for us." Mekhala shouted.
"You! You do not speak to me like that. You and your stupid boyfriend stay out of this. This is a family matter so you don't get to decide." Indriya held the collar of Agni's shirt with one hand and dragged him toward the door and threw him out of the door. She came back inside and closed the door.
"If anyone else wants to leave they can." She said calmly, gravely.
"Indriya don't be stupid, Agni is a Prince he can help us think properly and with your brain this time," Soma warned. "We are at your disposal right now but without his help, we wouldn't be able to set foot in Bhadra or even the capital city for that matter."
Indriya knew Soma was right, so she was silent for a second.
Yamya didn't wait for her word as though she had read her mind she opened the door and let Agni in. He came in and said nothing as he stood beside his two sentinels.
"Do you have a plan, Princess?" Agni's voice and body were shivering with restraint. She couldn't comprehend what he would have done if someone else was in her place.
"No, but I do have questions. What are Ms Mekhala and her sister Ms Lekha doing here?" She asked.
"They are sentinels I planted around my mother for her protection a long time ago," Agni admitted. Indriya nodded slightly, gravely.
"Why exactly are we leaving again?" Indriya asked, "And How much time do we have?"
"Jagad Tamas is sending his sentinels to get you, rumours about you being in this town have drastically increased because of a girl who was sighted with a Golden shield," Agni explained, his voice still as grave as ever.
"Well then, Chag do you have a plan?" Indriya asked as she heard him cancel out all the possible entries and exit out of the mansion.
"Not really, Indu. But I have to drop Atta in the outskirts of Soorani." He said more to himself than the crowd.
"Fine then, you and Manu go with my mom and drop her off near the portal. The rest of you will be ready for us where the roads lead us to the capital city with swords and horses ready. But first, let me get dressed, I cannot fight in my nightgown without making at least ten men drool all over themselves." She asserted and shooed them out of the room.
"Really Indu? Humour? Now?" Chag asked.
"It is called being cool, you peasants won't get it. Besides, if you want me to ride a horse in this night frock I clearly don't mind." She said with mocking sweetness, Chag and Agni heaved a sigh in response.
"Wait, what will we do?" Yamya asked. Indriya glanced at Agni and Soma and said, "You two wait for me in his room."

Indriya's fighting gear was lethal, every part of the leather fit her like she was born with it. It was like a second skin armour that would make men sweat their pants off just by looking at her. Her couture had hanging black stripes that would help her camouflage into any situation. Indriya looked at herself in the mirror and said, "It is a sin to look so beautiful, darling." She smiled a little and pushed the door to the impending doom that awaited her.
"Not bad, Princess. You don't look so bad." Agni said. "After all it was me who picked all those for you."
"Yeah sure, Princey popinjay!" She scoffed. Soma put her hand over her mouth to cover her smile and almost looked like she would burst out laughing.
