Chapter 46
Agni shook Samudra off and took advantage of the loosened grip of the guards who were caught off guard.
A bright light shone all over Agni's skin on his chest, bright light blue. Just like when they were in the bar with the Vidyadharas. The Nila Mandara Kusumam.
The light grew all over his arms and abdomen in spiral patterns. But in contrast to those black flames that danced around him, the dagger in Jagad Tamas's hand dropped to the floor and he stared at his son with growing awe in his eyes. Agni's chest was bleeding profusely from the light that burnt. His eyes were voids and his skin turned to a pale bluish blue and scales appeared on his arms, black leathery scales replaced his velvet skin, his fangs protruded over his lips.
She moved instinctively toward him, someone grabbed her wrist when she turned around and saw Jagad Tamas.
Black smoke arose from Jagad Tamas's free hand, Indriya's felt a sudden pang of pain in her chest.
She wheezed and gasped, she couldn't breathe. The castle shook all of a sudden violently. Before her, stood Jagad with black smoke arising from his eye sockets, and she couldn't breathe as the smoke surrounded her.
"Little Princess, once again we meet to celebrate your death. Come, now, don't struggle, there is no point in doing so." Blood now coated Indriya's lips. She coughed and spit the blood that didn't seem to stop leaking from her nose and lips.
The world around Indriya swirled back and forth, the world swam and she was drowning in her own consciousness. She felt like she was being squeezed into an atom and being stretched to fill the universe at the same time.
Pain replaced every other sensation and her vision started to blur.
Her bones were being crushed and blood was being squeezed out of her, pouring out through every opening in her body.
"A mere touch is enough to destroy you, little Princess." A distant voice whispered.
Jagad Tamas attacked her with no mercy, punched her in the abdomen and then kneed her. Her energy was suddenly sucked from her body and her knees buckled or Jagad had kicked her in the calf. She didn't know what had caused her to fall flat on her face but pain exploded in her head like her head had cracked open.
"Indriya! No! Jagad! You mustn't touch her, you can't! She is only a child! Please!" Indriya recognised the voice from her previous nightmares, her mother.
Her mother's long hair was soaked in blood. Around them lay a pile of bodies of soldiers, there by the entrance of the at the doorway, she saw a man lie, with no head, the severed head lay in shock and pain with eyes open to the ceiling.
Blood flooded the room and Indriya's father had already died.
Her mother was one her knees, nearly unconscious bowing to the man in front of her, the air was poorly lit mostly because the black smoke was thick.
Her mother's face was bleeding, beautiful eyes were teared up and her skin was covered in blood.
"Yes, you are finally bowing to me, Queen of Nirvana. Now who is the Queen? No one, No Queen!" He roared with laughter as he picked up the sword.
"Once you die, I will sacrifice your daughter, what did you name her? Indriya, was it?" Her mother gasped and struggled to keep her eyes open as tears streamed her face.
