Yes, Ik, I am late and I took a long, long time. I was just out of hope and need some love. And my motivation was rekindled by Sai Srinivas, a fellow author and god-given brother and Payaliaaaaaaaa (Payal Nahak), therefore this chapter, in fact the whole book is dedicated to them along with a few other names I shall mention in the next chapters. SO, LET THE STORM RAGE ON!!!!!!!! The cold doesn't bother me anyway!  XD Enjoy!

Yours,

Deetya.

Chapter 44

Bhadra shone like a city of gold as the soft sun rays brought to daylight. The castle stood strong in the middle of the city with its encumbered walls standing in five circles around it. The conical tops of the east, west, north and south towers were made of an alloy of silver and steel, the metal shone like gold, like a crown of pure gold.

They were all ready, dressed as ladies in waiting and manservants with fake identities. Never in her entire life did Indriya think she would have to take up a false identity and fight like she was a secret agent on a mission to save the world, or worlds.

Excitement was slithering upon her skin like a snake over the bark of a tree, so was fear.

They were approaching Bhadra at full tilt, her heart seemed to pick up the pace. Everyone wore a grave, tensed expression, Chag sat down beside Manu on the deck rocking his leg. Agni sat down like someone would attack him if he stopped being vigilant of his surroundings. Soma and Yamya were struggling to hide the daggers that were tucked at their waist. She could understand what they were going through because she herself was struggling with the daggers clasped at her thighs and her calves.

Indriya got off the ship and tripped onto the rock hard, cobble-stoned floor. A sudden sharp pain erupted in her head, and she couldn't breathe for a second.

She dropped to her knees.

"Ag- Agni," He heard the Princess stutter behind him, he turned around to see her on the floor, gasping for air.

He took a step forward to reach out to her but was taken aback to see her veins popping out from her neck and arms, she was in pain and her eyes had become bloodshot. Her veins had turned dark black and her face was contorted in pain.

"Indri-" Chag rushed to help her but Agni caught his forearm and shook his head.

"She- That is my father's power. Don't touch her, he was able to note her presence from so far away. His power is contagious, like a disease." Agni gravely said while Chag watched his cousin suffer in horror.

"It's happened before, once, It was the talk of the town when Indriya's mother had visited and she was sick for three whole days and even coughed blood, so said the rumours from my ladies-in-waiting of the queen's court."

"Well, I can't just stand here and do nothing unlike you, Agni," Chag muttered as he grew restless. Agni noticed the way things around them came to a sudden pause, the chatter of people, the sound of departing and arriving ships, the ship crews that were loading or unloading and the packages that were hanging in midair made Agni realise that Chag was really very angered at this point.

The Princess had stopped moving and her face was contorted in pain and awe, he bent down to look at her and examine her skin which was still turning blue at an alarming rate.
