Accidental?

Natsu's P.O.V

Luce was standing here hiding her face into my chest. I didn't know how to feel, but it felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest. You love her you idiot. I growled inwardly. This voice had not shut up for the past few days. Luce timidly looked up at me, her face still close to my chest. My cheeks heated up ever so slightly as I stared into her chocolate brown eyes. I smiled my signature toothy grin to her and leaned my forehead down to press slightly against hers. My forehead resting against hers slightly.

"Luce...you can talk to me you know that right? I'm not going to leave you ever again. I promise." She looked up at me and bit her bottom lip slightly. Dang that is very cute. I rolled my eyes slightly at the voice and shook my head at it. She was just looking up at me as she nodded, telling me that she knew that she could still talk to me. I just smiled, happy, that she was here in my arms. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me into a hug. I inhaled her sweet vanilla and strawberry scent and hummed in a response. It was the best smell ever.

"Come on. We should get you home so you can get some rest. Wendy already showed me earlier on how to change your bandages when it's time for us to change them." I leaned back from our hug slightly and looked down to her. I stared into her chocolate brown eyes, swearing that I could see them sparkle, and she blushed at me slightly before quickly turning her head to hide her face from me. She looooovvesss you. I growled slightly hearing this stupid voice imitate Happy. 'Don't copy the cat. And for the last time get out of my head!' I mentally screamed at it.

Lucy's P.O.V

Natsu helped me out of the bed finally and helped me slide on some shoes so that we could head to my small apartment. The walk was quiet. Although, I had been used to the quiet for a while now. Ever since Lisanna came back it had been difficult for me to be able to get a word in anywhere. His arm was still wrapped around my waist as he supported me on the walk home. There wasn't anything wrong with my legs, but having the support was nice. The arm on the side that we had been stabbed was hanging down to the side, making it relaxed, and it felt nice.

"So, Luce, do you need anything before I get you home?" Natsu asked me. I simply shook my head no. I didn't have much at home, but since I've been injured I knew that I wouldn't have enough to spend left over after I pay my rent next month.

Natsu frowned at me a bit, but didn't say anything else. The rest of the walk was quiet and we made it to my apartment without any accidents. For once he went through the door with me instead of going through my window like he normally did. It caused me to look at him with confusion, but he just smiled at me with his toothy grin and helped me inside.

I kicked off the shoes as soon as we got into my apartment. Everything was aching from having walked from the guild to here after having just woke up. Natsu looked at me with concern. He moved quickly without even giving me a chance to think. He put his arm under my knees and picked me up bridal style quickly. I blushed dark, but didn't protest. I simply let my head lay against his chest. It was so warm and I just wanted to stay here for a while. His footsteps were soft as he made his way from my door to my bed.

"Do you want to change before bed Luce? I could help if you wanted and I promise I won't even try to look this time!" He told me a bit loudly. I chuckled slightly and let the smile rest on my face. He smiled his normal toothy grin and looked down at me while my head still rested against his chest. "You laughed Luce. It was small, but still, you laughed. It was nice to be able to hear it again." He continued to smile down at me and I just continued smiling as he sat me down on the edge of the bed. "I'll grab your pajama's, just sit there and let me do the work for once." I scoffed a bit at his remark, he almost always did the work whenever we were out on job requests.

He moved across the room to the my dresser and began to rummage around in it looking for my pajamas. I just chucked a bit and shook my head at him. I found it funny that he was was acting like this. He found what he was looking for and walked over to the bed. He was holding a mismatched pair of my pajamas and held them up for me. "I found them. These will work right?" I just smiled and nodded my head. It was nice that he was trying so much. He closed his eyes as he offered his hand to help me up so I could put on the new clothes. I took it and slowly got up.

—-time skip of clothing change, Lucy falling on top of Natsu cause she's a clutz—-

I stared down at him, my face as red as a tomato, but unable to move because it hurt too much. Natsu still had his eyes shut tight so that he wouldn't see anything. "A...are you ok Luce? Do you need some help getting up?" I groaned in slight frustration, still not knowing the words to say with that. He must've taken this as a sign because he started to lean up. I was about to get up until I felt Natsu's lips connected on mine.

I seen his face turn a dark red and I imagine that mine matched Erza's. Both of us were frozen for a moment. My entire world was spinning. I had always liked Natsu, but I hadn't expected this. I quickly pulled back out of the kiss and looked down at him confused, but his eyes were still closed. "I...I'm sorry Luce. I didn't mean to...to do that. Umm w..we should g..get you to bed." He helped me up quickly. This wasn't a side of Natsu that I was used to seeing. Stumbling over his words and acting all shy.

He helped me into the bed and quickly sat down on the floor beside my bed. "J..just get some sleep Luce. I'll be right here. I promise." He said softly. I smiled a bit and closed my eyes. Slowly drifting off to sleep.
