Chapter 6: What have I gotten myself into?

Lucy's P.O.V

We had all taken our positions. I could just barely see Erza and Gray from the position of the camp I was at. Lisanna and Natsu had taken the opposite side of the camp. I sighed and silently summoned Sagittarius to my side. He did his normal introduction every time I summon him. 

All of my spirits had noticed that I hadn't been speaking lately. They all wanted to know what was wrong with me, but I just didn't really give them any answers. I felt bad because they were all my closet friends. Not even Aquarius was giving me a hard time lately because she knew something was wrong. Leo had been bothering me the most about speaking, always saying that he was going to give everyone a good beating for ignoring me, but the look on my face always told him that I didn't want him too.

Sagittarius and I silently advanced into the camp. He had his bow drawn and a single arrow placed in it. I had my Fleuve d'étoiles out ready for anything. The camp was deathly quiet. I gave a silent sigh. How exactly did they expect to work from outside in to catch all these bandits without waking the others and causing this to be a full out brawl between everyone. Although, that would probably make this fight go a lot faster to just take them all out at once.

I started working away at the tents. taking each bandit out silently. They were surprisingly heavy sleepers so I was able to tie them up and tape their mouths shut before they could alert the rest of the camp. I wondered how the others were doing...

Gray's P.O.V

That was too easy! I worked through my section like a pro. Going into each tent and freezing the bandit solid before they could alert anyone else. I knew that I would be the first one done because of being able to get through all my tents the quickest. 

I was waiting at the middle of camp for the others to get there. With my arm crossed I waited patiently to see who the next person to show up would be. As expected it was Erza who showed up next. 

Erza's P.O.V

I was the second one to arrive at the center of camp. I knew Gray would most likely be there waiting for me. His magic was always so beautiful and useful in stealth missions. I walked up next to him, "You make it here first? Have you seen anyone else?"

He uncrossed his arms and smiled a bit at me. "Of course I made it here first. We both know I'm better than Flame-brain. I haven't seen the others yet. Did you make it through your entire section?"

I gave him a short nod. I was somewhat concerned. Lucy and Lisanna might have a hard time getting through their sections. I was more concerned about Natsu making through his part without alerting the rest of the camp. However it wasn't long till Natsu came running up to us with a big goofy grin on his face. I was honestly surprising that he was able to make it through the camp without making any noise to alert the rest of the camp.

"Where's Lisanna and Lucy? Have they not made it here yet?" Natsu questioned. Gray gave him a shake of his head. I looked at him. 

"No, they haven't, but I'm sure they'll be ok. They should be making it here any minute."

As if on cue Lisanna came running up to join us. 

Lisanna's P.O.V

I came running up to the group. Natsu, Gray, and Erza were all waiting there. As I caught my breath they conversed quietly with one another. I could hear Lucy's name brought up a couple times. They were considering going looking for her. 

"I think we should go looking for her. She may be in trouble." I told them.

Natsu looked at me, "Lucy's strong. I'm sure she'll be here any minute."

I sighed and nodded. We all waited there in the middle of camp waiting for her. It was still quiet so maybe she was doing okay. I hadn't really had the chance to really get to know Lucy, but she was part of the guild and that meant that she was part of our family. I just hoped she was okay.

Lucy's P.O.V

I was getting close to the last part of my section in the camp. I was already out of breath. I was getting to my last few tents. I could just barely see the rest of the group at the middle of the camp. I thought that this camp was set up just a bit strange. Why would they have such a large center with the camp so spread out? It just didn't make any sense to me. Normally, camps would be set up with everyone a bit closer so that if anything went wrong, like people attacking your camp, the others would be able to react in a timely manner. We had worked through this camp like it was nothing. There weren't any guards posted around either.

I came upon a slightly bigger tent, was this the bosses tent? I sighed and looked at Sagittarius. He gave me a short nod showing that he was ready whenever I was. I advanced towards the entrance to the tent and looked inside. It was more lavishly put together than all the other tents. This was most definitely their captains tent. There was a woman laying on the cot there, but she was sound asleep. I looked around cautiously. Where was the bandit?

I turned just in time to see a hand thrust through Sagittarius' chest. "F...forgive me my lady, b..be careful." In shimmering gold light Sagittarius disappeared. Behind where the bandit was standing there. He was probably at least two feet taller than me. I stared up at him. My lips pressed into a thin line, my grip on my Fleuve d'étoiles tightening. This guy looked like he could snap me in half like a twig.

"Just what do we have here? A little birdie has snuck into my tent." His voice was deep and rough. This wasn't good. I needed to get out of here. My magic energy was already running a little low from having Sagittarius out with me for so long. I backed up from the bandit, but he had me cornered inside his tent. This wasn't good. I opened my mouth to call out for help, but I just couldn't say anything. This was bad. This was really bad.

"Oh, what is this? Cat got your tongue birdie? Not even going to call out for help?" He advanced towards me causing me to almost trip.

Just what have I gotten myself into?
