Lucy's P.O.V
The team had decided that it would be best to go under the cover of night. I didn't disagree. Although, I knew that once Natsu, Gray, and Erza started fighting that it wouldn't matter how stealthily we approached their camp. They were always really loud.
It was just the middle of the day so we had a little time to kill before we would head up to the cliff. Erza had insisted on going to the bakery for some cake. Same old Erza. Gray and Natsu were bickering with each other as always and I had noticed that Lisanna was trying to get them to break it up, but no one had the same affect on them like Erza did.
I sighed and turned on my heel to walk down the street. I felt like seeing what was around this town. We hadn't been here before and I liked learning about new places, so it was a good experience to be able to travel to a new place every once in a while, even if it meant that Natsu, Gray, and Erza usually destroying everything.
Walking down the cobble streets I chuckled to myself. The bickering of Natsu and Gray had faded from my ear shot. They had so many nice shops here in this town that it wasn't surprising that bandits had set up 'shop' right above this town. By the looks of things they had a lot of money moving through this town. All the shops looked well kept. Looking around I saw a book shop. Sparing no time I walked inside to just take a look around.
With the jingle of the bell I knew I was inside. The walls were lined with shelves of books and I felt like a child in a candy store. I didn't see the owner anywhere in sight so I decided to just browse around the different sections. To my surprise they actually had a section on dragons. With a little pain in my heart I thought of Natsu. He had been through so much I sometimes wondered how he stayed so strong all the time.
Picking up a red book I opened it. Flipping through the pages I noticed a section on dragon slayers. "hmmm, that's weird, why would this be in the dragon section?" I thought to myself. Sitting on the floor I pulled out my wing reader glasses and started to read. It was really interesting, it explained a bit how dragon slayers use their magic. Feeling informed I shut the book and put it back on the shelf.
I hadn't realized so much time had passed already, but the sun was starting to set. I better go meet up with the others.
I walked out of the book shop and walked back down the cobble street in the setting sun. There they were, exactly where I left them, in the middle of town. Natsu and Happy talking away with Lisanna. Gray saw my first and he waved me over. I picked up the pace reaching them quickly.
"Ok, so we need to be as quiet as possible on our way up the cliff, and I'm mainly talking to you Natsu." Erza gave Natsu a glare while giving us our instruction.
"This job is going to be a piece of cake!" Natsu screamed and Gray just looked at him.
"You say that about every job and yet somehow you still manage to screw it up every time flame-brain!"
"Say that to my face Popsicle!"
With a crack, Erza shoved them apart before they could start fighting with each other again. "We do not have time for you two to be bickering."
Lisanna chuckled and I smiled a bit. I still hadn't said anything the entire time. It felt so natural to not speak anymore. Especially after all my time alone at home.
"Lets start heading up the cliff and then we'll launch an attack on the bandits." Erza instructed and everyone gave her a nod.
---one hour later and after climbing up the cliff----
Hiding behind a boulder, Erza was doing a bit of scouting to see how many bandits that we would be dealing with. I wasn't sure if this was going to be too hard seeing as Natsu, Gray, and Erza always seem to go overboard with fighting others. I mean, they took out the masters conference building when the Lullaby incident happened.
Sighing quietly to myself I looked at our group. Natsu was getting inpatient as always, constantly saying that we should just charge right in and get this fight going. We wanted to wait just a bit longer till all the bandits should've been sleeping except for the few guards that had been posted around the perimeter.
We waited until the middle of the night before we made our move.
This is going to be something else.....
