Natsu's P.O.V

I sat there on the floor listening to Luce snore ever so slightly. Occasionally looking up at her whenever she turned over or whenever she would mumble something in her sleep. I pushed myself up off the floor. I didn't mind sitting on the floor, but I was hungry and needed something to eat before my loud growling stomach would wake her. I looked at her and smiled. She looked so peaceful while she was sleeping. I leaned over her and slowly moved a piece of her hair from her face. I couldn't help, but to continue to smile at her. It was good spending time with her again. Stop staring and get food before you wake her up you idiot. I growled slightly. This voice was getting on my last nerve. I know I'm annoying, but we both know you don't want to face her wrath if you wake her. I shivered at the thought. The voice did have a point.

I shook my head slightly and went to Luce's kitchen. It looked so empty in here. I frowned. Did she not have enough food to get by on? My blood boiled at the thought of her suffering like this. I growled. I turned around and went back and sat down on the floor next to her bed and crossed my legs. There was no way I was going to take food from her. You could always get her food tomorrow. Ask one of the others to come sit with her while were out. I sighed. The voice had a point. I could always ask Gray, Erza, or Wendy to come sit with her while I went to the market tomorrow. Ask Levy. Maybe she can get her talking. I smiled at that idea. Levy was probably the best person to get to come talk to Luce.

My head slowly started to nod. I was exhausted. It had been a long couple of days. Sleep Natsu. You'll see her again in the morning. I didn't bother arguing. Sleep slowly started to envelop me.

——time skip to morning——

I had sent out Happy out this morning to go to the guild and get Levy so that she could stay with Luce while I went and got some supplies for us while we were stuck at her home. He came back shortly after with the petite blue haired girl in tow. She smiled at me. "Morning Natsu. How's Lu-Chan doing?"

I smiled slightly back at her and nodded a bit. "She seems to be doing ok. She's still in bed sleeping. Thanks for coming to spend time with her while I run out for some things." She just smile and nodded saying that it was no problem.

I got a bag together and headed for the door with Happy. "Keep a good eye on her for us ok? I'll change her dressing whenever i get back."

"I will!" Levy called back to me as she went inside and sat near Luce. I smiled knowing that she would be ok.

Lucy's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of my best friend being in my house. She smiled at me as I slowly pushed myself up to sit in bed. She sat down on the edge and tilted her head at me. "Are you feeling any better Lu-Chan? Everyone is worried about you." I nodded to her. I was feeling better now that I had gotten some rest. "Lu-Chan? Why did you stop talking? I'm your best friend and I miss your sweet voice. You can talk to me and you know that you can tell me anything. I won't even tell anyone we talked! Please, just say something."

I frowned a bit. I didn't like the idea that my best friend was sitting here in pain. I always loved talking to her. I sighed a bit as I took in a breath. "P...Promise?" I said at barely a whisper. Her face lit up as she nodded quickly. I took another deep breath. Even just that one word made my throat sore. I hadn't talked in what felt like forever.

After getting my nerves under control I took another deep breath. I needed to get this all out at once otherwise I don't think I would be able to finish everything that I needed to say. "I..I just couldn't take it anymore. I'm happy that Lisanna came back and that everyone was able to fill that hole in their heart, but it seemed like I was starting to get ignored and that I was just becoming a shadow to everyone in the guild. I know that isn't true, but I can't help, but feel like a replacement for Lisanna. The way everyone looks at her is how some of you used to look at me. And the longer that this went on the easier it was to just stop talking all together since no one was talking to me anyway." By the time I had finished saying everything I needed to Levy had a couple tears running down her cheeks. I was a bit breathless. I didn't mean to make her cry.

She quickly hugged me and kept repeating that she was so sorry and that she didn't mean to ignore me. I shook my head. I knew that she didn't mean to and that she was always going to be my best friend. She sniffled and quickly wiped her eyes leaning back from our hug. "I'll make sure that I talk to you everyday. I promise!" She smiled at me happily while I smiled back at her. "Now, are you hungry? Do you want to get changed? Do you wanna bath?" I chuckled. Same old Levy. I held up a hand telling her to slow down. "Right right. Let's get you a bath and changed before Natsu comes back." I blushed slightly at his name, quickly remembering last night and shook my head. I couldn't think about that right now.
