Chapter 1: Returning Home

Real quick: I wanted to let everyone know that I'm going to be going from different P.O.V's. Even though the other dragon slayers will experience the dragon mating season a little later in the story the main focus will be on Natsu and Lucy. (Sorry Nali fans).

Lucy's P.O.V

We had returned home finally. It was weird having to refer to home as Earthland since we went to Edolas. Home was home to me. Natsu and I were standing outside the guild that we had called our home away from home, a couple yards away from the door, whenever I noticed Natsu seemed to be staring at someone?

I turned my head to see who his eyes were focused on, causing my hair that was in my signature side ponytail, to brush over my shoulders. The girl he was staring at had short white hair. She was standing there with her white gloved hand over her mouth, tears coming to her icy blue eyes, she was dressed like the people of Edolas. I was slightly confused. I thought only the people of Earthland were sent back here. How did she get here? I saw the guild mark on her thigh from the split in her dress. It was silver, almost completely matching her hair. I looked at Natsu and he looked dumbstruck. I had never seen Natsu look at someone that way.

"N...Natsu?" Her voice was soft and quiet. Almost like she couldn't believe that she was actually here. Then I heard him mutter something under his breath. I couldn't quite make out what he had said. Tilting my head slightly I watched the encounter between the two quietly.

"L...Lisanna? Is that really you?" I looked at Natsu after hearing him speak. This was Lisanna. Mira and Elfmann's little sister? I thought she had died, that's what I was told at least. I had seen the picture sometime ago when I was helping Mira in the store room. It had been a picture that Reedus had painted Happy in as a little blue dragon. The girl that looked like a younger version of the woman standing in front of us had been in the painting. Was this real?

Lisanna nodded and she ran up hugging Natsu around the neck tightly. Tears falling from her eyes quickly. "Oh Natsu! I missed you guys!" I could feel myself tensing slightly. It wasn't often that I witnessed someone hugging him in such a way. Somewhere deep inside of me I could feel a slight pain. I wasn't jealous. I couldn't be. Natsu and I are just part of the same team. I couldn't help, but look down as they continued to hug for the next bit.

Natsu's P.O.V

I wasn't quite sure I could believe my eyes. Was that Lisanna? Standing right in front of me after all this time? I wanted to rub my eyes or pinch myself to make sure that I wasn't dreaming. We had all been there that day when Mira and Elfman had buried her. I was still young at the time, but I remember crying all alone on the bridge when I was by myself.

"Oh Natsu! I missed you guys!" She was crying. Crying tears of joy I think. I'm not really good at knowing the difference. When her body collided with mine I stiffened. This couldn't be real. Lisanna died. We all knew that. She had left a hole in the guild that could've never been repaired, but as her body leaned against mine I slowly relaxed and wrapped one arm around her waist realizing that this was real. My other arm hanging to the side limply. I wasn't sure how to react to all this. It was a lot to take in.

I looked up slightly to see that Happy, who was floating above us, had tears running down his face. "Lisanna!" He yelled as he flew himself to land directly into her chest, right between both of our bodies. His tears landed on her shirt at a steady pace as he continued to cry his tears of joy of seeing her again. We both couldn't believe what was happening. I stole a glance towards Lucy who was just standing there confused. I could almost tell that there was a twinge of pain in her eyes, but now wasn't the time to ask about that. I'll ask her later.

Lisanna looked up at me expecting me to say something, but what in the heck was I supposed to say? I thought she had been dead. What do you say to a person that you have thought to been dead for so many years? "W..we missed you too Lisanna, but how are you here? Only people from Earthland were supposed to come here."

She looked at me and smiled. That same smile she always used to give me and immediately I knew it was her. She spoke, "It's because I belong here Natsu. By some chance the Lisanna from Edolas died when I fell and we ended up switching places somehow. I don't fully understand it myself, but I'm finally back."

Lisanna's P.O.V

I made sure that I was explaining the best I could. If Natsu was anything like I remembered him to be, which by the looks of his expression, he still was.

I noticed a blonde girl standing next to him. She looked pretty. She had her golden hair pulled into a side ponytail which I thought was super cute. Her outfit was really nice too. A blue mini-skirt with a tank top that had a blue heart designed into it. She looked nice and I was happy Natsu had made friends with someone else while I was gone.

I slowly let him out of the embrace that we seemed to still be in and felt my cheeks flush a bit. "I'm Lisanna. Nice to meet you." I stuck my hand out to the girl and she smiled shaking my hand back as she told me her name was Lucy. "I hope we can all be friends." Lucy gave me a smile and nodded.

I looked back to Natsu pushing my silver hair out of my eyes. "Where are big sis Mira and Big brother Elf?" I asked him.

I saw him tense a bit again, not completely understanding why until he told me that they were at the church visiting my grave. I could feel tears pricking my eyes again. The really thought I was dead all this time. I quickly shook my head. "I have to go see them!" I took off running towards the church to see that it had started to rain.

My white slippers pounded against the ground. I could see them just up ahead. Big brother Elf had a red umbrella of big sister Mira to shield her from the rain. "Big Sister! Big brother Elf!" I called out to them. I hoped the could hear me.

"Even now I can still hear her calling us." Mira said. Elfman nodded in agreement with her. I called to them again causing Mira to turn around.

"L...Lisanna?!" Mira said just as I tackled her with a hug. I held her so tightly never wanting to let her go. I had missed her so much. I could hear that Big brother had started crying as well as he hugged both Mira and I into an embrace. We all cried, but not tears of sadness, but of joy. Our little family reunited again.

SOOOOOOOOOO, I know it's kinda a recap of what happened in the anime, but I had to start somewhere. I know it's not exact, but I did the best I could from memory. Let me know what you think!
