Natsu's P.O.V

I was getting super annoyed with just sitting here. Stupid Erza wouldn't just let us rush in there and start this already. Something about the element of surprise. Whatever that meant.

Looking over our group I noticed that Luce was kind of just sitting off by herself. That wasn't like her. Normally she would be freaking out by now. That was kind of her thing, to freak out on every single mission, but I hadn't heard her voice in a while. I wondered why? Had someone said something wrong to Luce? At the thought of someone making Luce being upset it made my blood boil. All I wanted to do was protect her. That what mattered most to me. I sighed letting it go and turned my attention back to the group and listened to what Erza was saying. Something about the plan...

Erza's P.O.V

I had been trying to explain what the plan was to everyone, but Lucy was sitting a bit far away from the group and I was a little worried that she wouldn't be able to hear what our plan of action for taking out the bandits would be.

"Excuse me for a moment." Standing up from the ground where I was sitting, I brushed myself off and gave Natsu and Gray a death glare. If they started fighting while we were this close then our entire cover would be blown. They both nodded slightly like they understood what I was talking about.

Walking over to Lucy I crouched down beside her and looked at her. "Hey Lucy? Everything ok? You're a little far away over here." Gently, brushing the hair that was on my shoulder over because it was causing a slight itch.

She looked over at me and gave me a slight nod. I had noticed that I hadn't heard her speak for a while now, not since Lisanna came back. I frowned a bit. Surely that wouldn't be the reason that she wasn't speaking to anyone like she used to. "Why don't you come over here with the rest of the group so that you can hear what our plan of attack is?" I watched her facial expressions. If she wasn't going to talk using her voice then maybe her facial expressions would give her away.

Lucy's P.O.V

Erza had come over to me asking if I'd come over to listen to the plan that they had come up with. My expression remained unchanged as I gave her a short nod. I just wanted to get this mission finished so that we could finally head home. It seemed like that was all that I wanted to do anymore, was just be home. When I came on this mission with them I had planned on talking to the master and telling him that this would be my last one, but I hadn't worked up the courage to tell him that I was thinking about leaving the guild for a little while to try and figure some things out on my own.

Reaching the rest of the group I kneeled down to sit down somewhat away from everyone, but close enough so that no one would notice that I was keeping my distance. Pulling my knees to my chest, I hugged them close to my chest.

"So, I think the best plan would be to have each of us surround them in a circle and work our way inward. They're camp isn't that big and since most of them will be asleep we can get the majority of the bandits as we move in without getting a fast response time." Erza explained. She always looked so confident, but I knew as soon as we started this plan that it would go out the window.

"Why can't I just set them all on fire? That would take care of them really quick." Natsu whined. It seemed like all he wanted to do was get this mission over with, which wasn't very much like him because that would mean he'd have to ride the train back.

"Now Natsu, you know that wouldn't work. Some of them probably have magic, which is why the villagers haven't been able to stand up to them and need our help." Lisanna explained to him. I could see Natsu pouting a bit hearing what she had to say. He always wanted to go all out.

Gray looked to Erza, "So basically you want us to take as many of them out before the others can wake up and come to the others aid?" Erza nodded. Her plans always sounded better before we could put them into action.

"Lucy, I think Sagittarius would be best for this mission, he can fire multiple arrows at once, right?" Erza asked me. I gave her a nod as my response. "He can shoot enough arrows to immobilize them and then you can knock them out so we can get them all tied up." I gave another nod. That seemed like the best idea for me. Erza was always good at giving suggestions.

As she continued talking telling the others her ideas for them so that we could move this mission as quietly as possible so no one got hurt, my mind started to wonder.

Normally I would be freaking out by now on this mission, but I felt unusually calm which was strange. I know that I hadn't become that much stronger yet and I didn't feel all too confident in this mission, so why am I so calm?

I looked down just a bit, staring at the top of my knees. Why did no one notice or ask me why I hadn't been speaking lately? Did they just not care? Did I not matter enough? Or was I just Lissana's replacement while she had been away?
