Chapter 2: Our First Job Back

Lucy's P.O.V

We had all finally made it back home safely. Everyone had cried tears of joy seeing Lisanna again. Even Master she'd tears. I'd never seen everyone look so happy. Something that was missing had finally returned back to them. It made me happy for them.

I woke up in my nice little apartment surprised to not having Natsu and Happy snuck in. I sighed a breath of relief. They usually always sneak in and are usually messing something up. It was actually kind of strange not to see them in here. I shrugged and went into my bathroom to take my morning bath. It was much needed to wash off all the grime.

Once I was all finished I got out and dried off putting on my normal outfit. My skirt still fit nicely along with my shirt. I was glad I had extras cause the last one was absolutely ruined. Sitting down out my desk I pulled out a fresh sheet of paper. Writing always made me feel better and I thought I should let mom know about everything that had happened. Honestly, if I hadn't been there myself I don't know if I would've believed any of it. It sure was crazy.

Picking up my quill I started to write. "Dear mom, we had the craziest journey. It was so strange being in a different place which seemed so much like our own. I think the craziest part about it all was that they didn't have magic there like we do. They used magical items for everything! It was such a crazy adventure. Oh! And Lisanna came back! Everyone had thought that she had passed away because of a mission that she had went on with her brother and sister, but it had turned out that she had been transported to another land! Isn't that crazy. I have to say though... it sure is nice seeing everyone so happy from her return. It seems like she doesn't get a break though, everyone always has her caught up in some type of conversation....
Oh yeah! She's also going to be joining Natsu, Happy, Ezra, Gray, and I whenever we go out on missions. Master says it'll be good for her to be with others till she gets fully readjusted to being back here. Maybe this will be my chance to get to know her better! I haven't really had a chance to get a word in with her since we got back. Actually, come to think of it mom I haven't really gotten a chance to talk with anyone. They've all been so busy talking with Lisanna. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm totally okay with it. Everyone has really missed her and if I had known her like everyone else had I'd probably have been the same."

I glanced at my clock to see that it was already getting to be the middle of the day. I should probably head to the guild soon. I turned back to my letter so that I could finish writing to mom.

"Anyway, I guess I should be going Mom. I know you're always watching over me. I love you.
Lucy."

I folded it carefully and stuck it into one of the envelopes, sealing it carefully with wax, and stuck it in the box with all the other letters I had written to Mom so far. Grabbing my bag I walked out my door. Luckily, avoiding my landlord. I was all caught up on my rent, but that woman scared me. I didn't really understand why.

Walking down the streets of Magnolia my mind began to wonder. What all was going to change with Lisanna being back? I was truly looking forward to seeing everyone.

When I finally reached the guild doors I opened them walking in quietly. I got a few waves from people here and there, but none really walked up to talk with me. I wondered why. Shrugging it off I went up to the bar where Mira had already made my signature strawberry shake. I had one almost every morning when I came to guild.

A little blue cat flew over to me, "Lusheeeee! Natsu and Lisanna picked out our next job. Are you ready to go?" I smiled. Happy always made me smile even though he was annoying sometimes. I simply nodded. Happy tilted his head at me, but shrugged it off, flying back to Natsu and Lisanna.

I drank my milkshake quietly waiting till it was time to go. I finished my milkshake relatively quickly. I looked up seeing everyone still talking to Lisanna. I seen Natsu and Grey and Erza all talking with her. It was like I wasn't even here. I sighed.

Natsu's P.O.V

Happy had told me that he told Luce about the mission. I was glad that we were all going to be together again. Lisanna smiled. She seemed excited to get to see everyone and to even get to learn more about Lucy.

I turned towards her. Her sweet strawberry vanilla scent hitting my nose. I smiled. Her scent...

Little did I know that...that smell was soon to become my favorite and only one I wanted.

Hey guys. Sorry its so short, I just wanted to post an update. So, to explain a little dragon mating season is coming up. Theres different stages.

1. clinginess (not all experience this, Natsu won't so he won't realize till phase two)

2. connection of feelings. the dragon slayer will be connected emotionally and physically to the mate. What I mean by this is that if his mate is in pain he will feel it too.
