Elvina was walking towards the court when Draven whispered in her mind, Go to the garden's, Kai wants to see you for a sec.

Where are the gardens?

Turn around, second hallway, right, the middle door.

Elvina rolled her eyes, That helps me so much.

Apparently, elves lacked a sense of sarcasm because Draven simply left with a 'welcome' and she turned around, following his very vague instructions.

Middle door, she thought questioningly, coming upon four widely spaced doors. It was a chance of luck now. Out of the two center doors, she chose the right one. She stumbled into a place with a delightful smell and sighed in relief when she saw a sea of plants.

Creeping around, Elvina tried to figure out where Kai was.

"Kai," she called out, slipping between two trees. She hid behind one of them once she spotted him crouching down towards what seemed like a wilting flower. Her eyes widened as she watched intrigued. His fingers brushed the petals gently while he whispered something into the wind. A soft green light laced with ribbons of shiny glitter caressed the petals as if they were coaxing it to wake up. To Elvina's amazement, the leached color returned to the silky petals and instead of staying wilted, the flower gradually rose up and stood tall, mimicking the other flowers around it.

Elvina stepped out from behind the tree and brushed herself off to make sure she was presentable when he stood up. She walked over and gave him a deep curtsey, still enthralled by what he had just done.

"You called, your grace?" she asked, keeping her vision down.

Kai let out a snort, "Your acting skills need to be polished."

She gasped and looked up at him, pressing a hand to her chest dramatically, "And here I thought I was fooling you!"

He rolled his eyes but nevertheless, grinned, "You and I both know you'd rather threaten me with a crossbow than curtsey. Ever."

Elvina followed his lead deeper into the gardens, huffing after him, "I was just trying to be polite."

Kai hummed and led her down a brick path towards a circle of statues.

"Why are we here?" she wondered out loud.

"These," Kai said, gesturing to the seven statues in a circle, "These are the seven guardian kings."

"Pardon?"

"They guarded the realm against the Farsa for five hundred years."

Elvina's gaze slid to him, marrowing considerably, "Guarded? Are they gone? Is that why the Farsa constantly attack?"
