Draven raised his hand, signalling the trainees to stop sparing. Kai was patrolling the edges, making sure everyone was doing everything correctly and didn't kill themselves.

Or each other.

Elvina had joined them today since there wasn't much for her to do at the palace. Kai hadn't seemed so excited but Draven, he was at least glad. Out of all the trainees, while everyone excelled at hand to hand combat and other basic stuff, Elvina never missed a single bull's eye. Her aim was always on point and never wavered as each time he yelled a command.

The other areas, however, needed far more improvement.

"Reghlass Maneuver," he ordered, waiting for the trainees to get into position. He watched in amusement as Elvina hastily got into position, "Go."

Draven watched Elvina struggle against her opponent. They both attempted to get a better understanding of each other's tactics, circling each other not keeping their eyes up. Elvina was the first to make the move. She lunged for her opponent's shoulder with speed and agility. However, right before she came into contact, her opponent grabbed her arm and threw her over his shoulder.

He watched quietly as Elvina quickly got up again, unrelenting and her attacks. Constantly fighting, she didn't let her opponent have a minute rest no matter how many times she was thrown on the floor. Draven could see what Reika meant by the courage aspect. The bravery and determination Elvina harbored wasn't commonly seen even in the warriors of the past.

"Halt," he ordered, surveying the trainees out in the field. Kai gave him a sharp nod and Draven fisted his hand before circling it over his head, signaling them to take three laps around the training camp. Huffing, Elvina fell in line with the other elves.

"Any news on the sunchild?" Draven asked once everyone was out of earshot. Kai walked up beside him and shook his head.

"Anne wouldn't tell why Elvina may have attacked her and she only said that when the sunchild is needed, they will come out."

Darven ran a hand through his hair, "And what about Elvina? Did you ask her?"

Kai's face took a reluctant stance, "I haven't had the chance."

"Didn't have the chance or you didn't want to face her?"

"Both."

Draven turned away, understanding his situation. As elves, they didn't try to be inhospitable to anyone and when they had shown their best efforts, it hurt to see when their guest didn't.

"Elvina isn't of this world, Kai," he said, his voice laced with tiredness despite it being the morning, "She doesn't know our customs and she is out of her comfort zone."
