Draven stumbled back, his hand shading him from the amount of light that radiated off of Elvina. For the first time, he doubted that the Serephine in the town was wrong.

He watched in amazement as she slowly started to float up, her eyes closed as her black hair floated upwards, the pebbles around him and some of the water from the pool drifted as if Elvina had done something to remove the gravity.

The cave walls were splayed with golden colors and the pictures of the Fyre Guardian lineage. His knees slammed onto the floor as her hands turned upwards, her palms producing a small flame as if they were in a bowl.

Sunchild, the cavern around him whispered and the ground slid under him, Fyre Guardian. Arise, awaken, density calls.

He swallowed, unable to believe that a girl who wasn't even from this realm was their guardian. Was the Fyre Guardian.

Draven watched in amazement as her ears morphed into pointy elf ears; that to be with an arch of a royal. She raised her chin as the fire started to lick her forearms.

Draven showed his neck in submission. Resolution, in front of his protector.

Elvina, however, didn't stop. With the sunpool fueling her power, she was intoxicated on in, letting it run free. She had felt her ears transform, her teeth get sharper, and a warmth now resided in her, always there.

Her eyes opened and noticed Draven kneeling in front of her. Elvina's divine gaze swept across the room, noticing the pebbles and droplets of water that had come up, floating around her.

The walls were splayed with people with strikingly similar features, some women, the rest, men.

Awaken, Fyre Guardian. Take upon your crown, the walls whispered and with one final breath, she calmed the maelstrom and gently floated down to the bottom.

The droplets came down as well, making it rain and the pebbles just dropped. Thankfully, they hadn't floated too high.

"Draven," she said. It was a shock to her how different her voice sounded. Like it was angelic yet still somehow...human.

"My gods," he said, slowly getting up, "Elvina." His knees buckled and she surged to keep him up, "You're... you're the Fyre Guardian... How is that even possible?"

She laughed, a melody to her own ears, "I'll let you know if I have an idea."

Draven gave her a half smile, "Looks like the Serephine wasn't lying."

A dark look crossed her features, "I still don't like her."

"No shit," he snorted. It was quiet and his eyes darted to the medallion, which was, of course, glowing like an electric lamp. He looked back at Elvina who looked worried yet calm. How was that even possible, he didn't know, "What are you going to tell Kai?"
