The covers were ripped off of Elvina and she groaned, slipping her hands between her knees as she curled into a sideways ball, trying to get warm.
"Up Elvina," she heard Thea say and she vaguely made out the sound of water running, "It's eleven am, why aren't you awake."
Elvina mumbled something incomprehensible in response and suddenly, she was being shaken violently. She ignored it the best she could until finally, she bared her teeth.
"Okay fine fine," she cried, her eyes snapping and attempting to get up through Thea's shaking, "I'm up! I'm up!"
She huffed and gave her a glare to which Thea returned with a smug grin.
"Go to hell," she whined, stretching and yawning halfway through the sentence. Thea rolled her eyes.
"I prepared a bath. Get dressed, you're invited to lunch."
"Lunch? What time is it?"
"About eleven am. Precisely, eleven o-seven."
"My god," Elvina muttered, dragging her feet towards the bathroom, "It's still way too early."
"When did you sleep," Thea asked, placing some robes on the edge of her bed.
Elvina tried to think as she brushed her teeth. When did she sleep? Her mind retraced what had happened. Draven came, she made her todo list and slept on the floor...
Her mind came to a screeching halt and she quickly spat out the toothpaste and rinsed her mouth.
"Who was in my room last night," she demanded Thea, "I slept on the floor, not the bed."
Thea looked at her in confusion, "Draven maybe? I know he patrols the guest halls sometimes."
Curse him. WHy did she even come into her room?
"Alright," she said, turning around, "I'll ask him at breakfast."
"Lunch."
"Right," Elvina muttered, slowly stripping and taking a step into the bath, "Lunch."
Thea left to her own thoughts after making sure everything was prepared and Elvina took her time, relaxing in the warm water.
The night before had been very tiring. She'd tried to create a map of her own in her mind and checked the time every time the guards switched out. Typically, when she thinks she's so engrossed in it, Elvina doesn't even notice what is happening around her. Thankfully, last night wasn't like that.
The guards switched every two hours and during the dead hour, the entire battalion was switched out for a reason unknown to Elvina. She only remembered another guard switch so Draven must have come after that, which would make it around three am.
