Bruce was taking longer than expected to help Sandra. He came out into the hall to mention that she had a bullet in her that just wouldn't come out, but that it was also the last one that was in her.

Eventually though, Bruce did manage to get the last bullet out of her. He had them all on a small little plate after being cleaned to give to Tony so he could take a look at them.

Because Sandra was going to wake up and most likely not feel well, he decided it was best for her to be at least comfortable in her own room.

Bucky sat on the bed beside Sandra, waiting for her to wake up. He knew she would freak out at first not knowing where she was.

He sat there gently petting her head, making sure he was being gentle. The last thing he wanted was to somehow hurt her more.

"Anything?" Steve asked in practically a whisper as he stood in the door frame.

Bucky shook his head. "Nope, she's just been asleep." He said, looking up at Steve.

"Actually, I've been awake a few minutes now.. you rubbing my head just felt nice." Sandra mumbled, opening her eyes. "But I feel like someone ran me over with a truck a few times."

Steve sighed, staying at the door. He knew Sandra was still mad at him. "Sand, what happened back there?" He asked, not knowing if he'd get an answer. "More importantly, how did you end up there?"

"I uh- after I dyed my hair and chopped it, the woman who shot me that last time was posing as a civilian who needed help. I offered my help but figured out it was a trap so I ran. She shot a few bullets into me and brought me to that facility." Sandra said, trying to sit up so she could see Steve better.

Bucky shook his head as he watched her try and sit up, gently pushing her back down. "You took quite the amount of hits, your staying down." He said with an eyebrow raised. "But your still gonna have to talk to us about what they did to you."

"I know." Sandra said, sighing. "They had me locked down in that metal table stripped down, their ivs and crap injecting things into me and taking out my serum. It got to the point where I couldn't hold on any longer and I actually died for a few minutes."

Steve stood up straight and came into the room more, closing the door behind him. "What do you mean? How would you even know?" He asked, sitting in the desk chair.

Sandra frowned and looked at her hands. "I saw mom." She said, her eyes filling with tears as she looked up to Steve. "She-she told me that I had to keep fighting.. that I've fought too much to just give up."

Steve sat in shock, his eyes keeping themselves on Sandra's. "What else did she say..?" He hesitated.

Sandra didn't speak for a few seconds, thinking about what her mother said to her. Speak to Steven about your squabble. Her mother's voice repeated in her head. She always thought it was so weird how her mother reffered to their fights as squabbles.

"She said I was the stronger child." Sandra teased, a small smirk on her face.

Steve smiled. "You wish." He said, "but seriously, that's all she said?"

Sandra shook her head. "Nope." She said, smiling to herself. "She just told me things that I'd have to think about more."

Bucky looked over at Sandra again and smiled. "Well, Bruce said he was able to get all of the bullets out. He hasn't said anything about finding what they injected into you though." He said, wiping her hair out of her face. "Wanda is making some lunch with sam right now if your hungry."

"Who the hell are Wanda and Sam?" Sandra asked, furrowing her eyebrows. "I thought it was only the seven of you on your stupid little team."

Steve sighed, standing up from the chair he was sitting on. "Wanda and Sam helped me and Bucky get away from the government after hydra." He said, making his way to the door to leave. "also, it's not a stupid team. We have saved the world a whole bunch of times."

Sandra smirked. "Yeah, with my help." She said, watching as Steve left her room to avoid any arguments. "Am I allowed to get up and walk?"

"Well I-"

"Great!l" Sandra said, cutting Bucky off and beginning to sit up from the bed.

It hurt at first as she tried to get up. Her soreness was definitely going to be there a while, along with the bruises.

Bucky stood up as well, coming to the side that Sandra was on to help her. "You know that Steve and Tony are going to freak out right?" He asked with a small laugh.

"What else is new." She smirked, "do you have a sweatshirt and sweats I can borrow? I'm not exactly sure if I want to be showing off these sick bruises."

Bucky nodded, leaving the room quickly and grabbing some clothes for her. "Are you going to be a big girl or do you need help?" Bucky teased, putting the clothes next to her.

Sandra shrugged. "I don't know. I mean, I was shot a few times, then kidnapped, then shot again, and I feel pretty shitty. So I think I can take a break from being a big girl now." She said, "plus, I know your probably used to seeing bruises and scars after being the winter soldier for all that time."

Bucky nodded as he began to help Sandra change. His eyes traveled around her body, seeing each bruise and scar she's earned through the years. He was used to seeing bruises and scars on himself, but it killed him to see she went through the level of pain that could've caused them.

"Ok tell me how bad they are." She said, seeing Bucky's face was plastered with concern. "You look like you just saw a ghost."

Bucky looked up at Sandra's face and sighed. "I'm sorry you had to go through this." He said, reaching down and hugging her. "You don't deserve it."

"Trust me, I deserved every bit of it."
