The ride back to the compound was extremely fast compared to the ride there. Natasha set the jet to go faster because of Sandras condition, worried that she wasn't ok.

Constantly during the ride, Sandra would ask for Bucky, but no one has the heart to tell her about it yet. She would be heartbroken, maybe doing something she would later regret.

"Bucky.. I need bucky." She said as Steve carried her to the med bay so Bruce could help her. "Where is bucky?" She began to panic.

Steve laid his sister on the examination table and frowned, looking over to see Bruce smearing to begin. "I'm sorry Sandy." Steve said, giving Bruce a head nod to let him know that he could give her the anesthesia to knock her out.

Watching his sister in this condition wasn't something he could do right now, he had already just lost his best friend so losing her would be worse.

Hearing his phone ring, Steve was relieved to see Clints name appear in the screen. "Clint, how is everyone?" He said, answering the call.

"Not good man." Clint said, sounding worried. "Everyone here just turned into dust while I was grabbing the ketchup for hotdogs."

Steve froze and left the med room, still on the phone. "Barton.. what about Sandras kids.. please tell me-"

"I have no idea where anyone is Steve! We were all out here spending time together and then boom, everyone was dust." He said, his voice growing more worried. "Did something happen during the fight that caused this?"

"We lost the fight, Clint." Steve sighed, "Thanos got the stones and snapped. So far we've lost Sam, Wanda, and Bucky. Vision is dead too."

Clint sighed as well. "was anyone hurt?" He asked.

"Bruce is working on Sandra now.. she doesn't know Bucky got dusted yet." Steve said, trying to hold it together. "She was asking for him the whole way back even though she was hardly conscious."

"Hardly conscious? What happened to her that she was hardly conscious?"

"She tried to outsmart Thanos, but he used a stone to launch her away and she knocked out." Steve said, looking through the window of the room Sandra was in. "God, she's going to be destroyed when I tell her.."

Clint sighed, staying silent for a moment. "Hey, just be easy when you tell her. She will handle it better than you being straight up." He said, trying his best to give Steve good advice. "Either way, She's going to seek revenge. That's how she's been since I've met her."

"Yeah." Steve sighed, noticing Natasha down the hall with Thor. "Hey I'll keep you updated ok? Talk to you soon Barton."

The call ended seconds later, Natasha standing between Steve and Thor as they all watched Bruce work. "What did Barton say?" Natasha asked.

Steve frowned, keeping his eyes on Sandra. "The kids dusted away too. Along with Barton's whole family."

Natasha stood quietly, a frown forming in her face. "Oh my gosh." She said, shocked that this happened. "She's going to lose her shit when she finds out. This is going to be like releasing a demon.."

"My brother tried releasing a demon with his magic once." Thor said, "he was twelve."

It wasn't until the next morning that Sandra had woken from her procedure, bandages covering her wounds along with a brace on her wrist.

When she woke up, Steve was sat next to her patiently waiting. To her, he had the look of grief on his face. Almost immediately Sandra knew something was wrong.

"Hey." She said, her voice very gentle.

Steve looked up and saw she was awake, sighing in relief. "Thank God your ok." He said, leaning over and giving her a hug.

Then she asked the question that Steve was dreading to hear. "Where's Buck?"

A frown fell to his face as he sat quietly for a moment. "Sandra, I need you to stay absolutely calm, ok?" He said, watching her nod. "After you go knocked out we lost the fight. Thanos snapped and half the population dusted away."

Sandra didn't speak, her eyes filled with tears. "He-he wasn't one of them.. right?" She asked, holding back her tears.

"No... he was." Steve said, catching Sandra and she leaned into his arms crying.

"Whe-where are the kids..? Are the kid o-ok?" She asked.

Steve only held her at first. "Clint called, he said everyone at his house dusted except him." Steve said, holding her tighter. "But the kids are with Bucky now, wherever they are. You know he's taking good care of them."

"How do we get them back? I-I don't think I can wait long to have them back." She began to panic, the monitors beginning to beep. "I-I'll do something stupid a-and lose my mind!"

Steve laid Sandra back down on the bed, trying to calm her down. "Sandy relax, you going to hurt yourself." He said, finally seeing her hurt facial expression. "I've already lost my bestfriend and my niece and nephew.. I can't lose my sister too."

That seemed to calm her down a little bit, the beeping of the machines also returning to its normal pace.

"I- I just want to go home.." Sandra said, her face all red and wet from crying.

Steve nodded, grabbing a napkin and wiping her face. "Your going to have to stay here for a few days just so Bruce can be positive you ok on your own." He said. "You sure know how to get yourself hurt."
