For the next couple of days, things went slowly around the compound. Everyone took turns with the kids, helping out Sandra and Bucky as they tried to figure out why this happened.

During a conversation the team was having about the attack, Sandra realized that their house might've been attacked too. It made sense, it's been a few years since they've lived in the compound.

Bucky had left right after that conversation, bringing Sam along with him just incase. "Sandra I'll be fine." He had told her before leaving, seeing she was nervous. "The house will be fine, everything will be alright."

Currently, Sandra was sat in the living room with Steve, trying to keep calm. "Steve." She said, getting his attention. "What did you guys do to that lady who tried killing me?"

"Sandy, Buck wouldn't let me do anything. He was so angry, he would've killed me if I interrupted." Steve began, muting the tv so they could hear each other. "He's blaming himself for you getting hurt. He said if he had made sure that lady died when we went to save you from hydra, none of this would've happened."

Sandra frowned, putting her head in her hands as she shook it. "Why can't everything be like it was in the 30's and 40's. The only bad guy was the angry homeless man."

Steve laughed, putting his hand on her back and rubbing circles. "Does your back still hurt from the fall?" He asked, seeing Sandra shook her head no. "How about that cut? Have you gotten it checked out by anyone yet?"

"Steve Im terrified to leave here right now. I-It's like I'm on the run again." She said, little footsteps charging towards her. Quickly, Sandra wiped off her face and looked up

"Mommy!" Gracie giggled as she stood in front of the two. "When's daddy coming home mommy?"

Sandra shrugged her shoulders, lifting Gracie to sit on his lap. "I don't know yet peanut. Let's see." She said, taking out her phone and giving Bucky a FaceTime call.

When Bucky answered, he looked a little stressed out, but wiped that away once he realized Gracie was in the frame. "Hey Gracie girl." He said with a smile.

"Daddy when are you coming back I'm bored." Gracie asked, grabbing the phone from Sandra. "Mommy and uncle Steve are being no fun."

Steve laughed. "Oh come on, I'm fun." He said, crossing his arms. "Your mom is fun, but not as fun as me."

Bucky smirked from the phone. "Ok Gracie, we will be back by tonight. Go find jack and play with him for a bit so I can talk to mommy."

Gracie nodded, handing the phone back to Sandra and running off. Once Sandra could see she was gone, she let out a shaky breath. "Do we have to pack up and move? Is there even anything to pack up?" She asked.

"Well, I haven't found anything showing they found our house. Windows and doors are all locked, nothings missing." Bucky said, clearly standing in the houses living room. "But Sam just ate all of your goldfish."

"Whoa whoa, are we going to ignore that you told me I could?!" Sam complained from the background.

Sandra groaned. "Who the hell let those two go together alone." She said, looking at Steve. "Buck did you check the safe..?"

Bucky nodded. "Everything is there. I think we are clear to come home." He said, coming closer to the screen as he began to speak again. "I don't think I can deal with sam any longer."

"Hey! I heard that!"

A couple of hours later, it was very late but Sandra sat awake in hers and Bucky's room. She couldn't sleep without him, it was impossible for her. She knew he would be back soon, or at least she thought he would be.

But there she sat on the bed, wearing a pair of loose shorts and a loose cropped tank top. Sandra didn't like the fact that her cut was showing, but she knew that hiding it under clothes wasn't helping it heal any faster.

"What are you doing up?" Bucky's soft voice asked as he came into the room quietly.

A smile formed on Sandras face as she got up, walking to him and jumping into his arms. "I think I have a separation problem." She said, hugging his waist with her legs.

Bucky put his hands beneath her for support so she didn't slide down. "Me too." He said with a smirk, giving her a kiss.

Sandra obviously kissed him back, making the kiss a long one. "Don't leave for that long again." She said as they pulled away to breathe.

"I'll make it up to you." Bucky whispered into her ear, smirks forming on both of their faces. "That is.. unless you don't want me to."

Sandra held her smirk, running her fingers through Bucky's short hair. "No, no I think you have to." She said.

That was all it took for Bucky to kiss her again, removing one hand from beneath Sandra so he could lock their door. "We have to be quiet.. the kids are right across the hall." He said, now hovering above Sandra in their bed.

"Mhm." Sandra hummed.

As Sandra and Bucky went on, Sandra accidentally almost let out a moan. Luckily, Bucky covered her mouth and muffled its sound.

By the time they both finished, Bucky lifted Sandra out of the bed and brought her to the bathroom so she could wash up while he changed the sheets.

"Buck if I get pregnant again after this you better not complain." Sandra whispered, cuddling back up with Bucky as she laid down in bed.

Bucky smiled, hugging her close. "Darling you know I'm used to a big family, I grew up with three sisters." He said. "And I know if the kid has your dna in it, then it will be the most beautiful thing."

Sandra smiled, turning her body to face Bucky. "I love you bucky Barnes. Always."

"I love you more Kassandra Barnes."
