The Hulk was running all around carrying Sandra by the throat. She didn't understand why the hulk was so aggressive with her, knowing he was fine last time with her. The only thought that came to mind was something being in that bullet manipulating his mind.
"Ba-banner!" She tried to say, knocking if he made on wrong move she would have her neck snapped. "This-this isn't yo-you! It's hy-hydra in your min-d."
The hulk roared and climbed to the top of a building, holding Sandra out over the edge. "Don't do-do it." She breathed out, seeing a pure anger in the hulks eyes. He was always angry when the hulk, but during Sandra's time spying on the avengers, she could tell something was definitely different right now.
"You know what, drop me." She choked out. "You won't do it."
The hulk roared again, completely releasing his grip around Sandras neck and watching her helplessly fall to her death.
Instead of dying, Sandra spotted a guy in a red and blue suit, swinging towards her using some weird white substance. When the guy caught her, she immediately held on and looked at him confused.
"Mr stark I got her!" The guy said, who now sounded more like a kid, looking at the girl. "What's your na-"
Sandra looked at him even more confused and said "Jesus how old are you?!"
The kid laughed nervously a little bit. "About seventeen." He said, getting a good look at Sandra's face when they landed in an alleyway. "HOLY- YOUR SAND-"
Sandra's hand immediately covered his mouth, her eyes wide as she looked around. "Shut it sticky boy. My voice hurts too much to yell at you since I almost got killed by the hulk, but no one can know I'm alive."
The kid nodded. "I-I'm Peter by the way." He said, "who else knows about you being here?"
Sandra coughed a little bit, feeling her throat becoming scratching. "The avengers and hydra." She said, her voice sounding dry.
The two stood in the alleyway for another few seconds before a black car with tinted windows pulled up on the end, Sandra immediately taking her gun out and pointing it at the car.
"Hey hey, I'm not them." Natasha said, Bucky and Steve in the passengers seats as the window rolled down. "Kid, you go home. Tony is going to find banner and bring him back to the compound."
Peter nodded and began to swing away while Sandra blocked her face from being noticed as she went to the car. "I didn't get hit in the face, I just can't be seen here." She said, removing her hand as she slipped into the back seat.
Bucky was sat next to her, checking out the giant bruise that was beginning to form around her neck. He gently lifted his hand and touched it, seeing she flinched a little bit. "Did that hurt you?" He asked, moving his hand away.
Sandra shook her head. "No, no I jus-"
"Sand, I'll get Tony to check that out alright?" Steve said, looking back from the front passengers seat. "Just try not to move it too much."
"Alright. But is there any water in here? I don't care if it's half drank of warm." Sandra asked, her voice very scratchy as low.
Natasha took a water bottle she had in the cup holder and passed it back to her. "Fresh bottle, took it before I left." She said, smirking in the mirror.
Sandra smiled and opened the bottle, taking a big sip of the cold liquid. As much as she wished the water would've helped, it just felt like she was drinking water that was straight from Antarctica.
"I think the bullet they shot bruce with was filled with something to make him more angry." Sandra said out of nowhere, seeing Tony, Sam, and Wanda through the window trying to stop the Hulk. "And where the heck is that god? He doesn't stay here?"
Bucky shook his head. "Thor only comes around when we need his help, or if he's hungry." He said with a small laugh.
Sandra nodded and shifted herself so she could lay down, her head resting on Bucky's lap while he smiled down at her. "There's going to be traffic, so I'm going to take a nap." Sandra said, shutting her eyes and sighing.
Steve nodded at passed back his jacket for her to use as a blanket since the inside was lined with sherpa, Sandra taking it and snuggling into it immediately.
Once they knew she was definitely asleep, Natasha looked over to Steve confused. "So tell me Rogers, there's been nothing but arguing between you two since she's came back. I thought you two were close." She said, nudging his arm.
Steve sighed, looking back to Sandra just to be sure she was still asleep. "We are close. It's just a lot to get used to knowing she was here the whole time and never actually showed herself." He said, looking at Natasha as they sat in a traffic jam. "She was here for Loki, ultron, and even when Bucky returned all brainwashed. But she was like the sniper, staying far but doing what had to be done."
Natasha furrowed her eyebrows. "She was here? Did anyone know she was at any of those?"
"Stark probably did. He said she was there sometimes when he was growing up." Steve said, resting his head on his hand. "He never mentioned any of this to me until she actually came back though... which could only mean she was hiding."
Natasha sighed and nodded her head. "Yeah no shit she was hiding, Rogers. How do you think the press would react if they caught little Miss America going in the compound? More people would know she was alive, which caused more problems that we have to fix." She said, "your sister is smart. If I could go completely off radar without any questions, I would. Anyone in their right mind would. Less problems equals more peace."
