Time had passed since the day Sandra was asked to be a god parent. Actually, about three months had passed.

It was thankfully slow for the avengers, no new missions or alien invasions were happening anywhere, so they were able to live normal lives for once.

Sandra's normal life wasn't doing her any well though, she had woken up in the morning feeling extremely nauseous. By the time she made it to the bathroom to let it all out, she hardly got to the toilet.

Bucky of course ran right in after hearing the sound of Sandra throwing up, knowing they haven't eaten or been anywhere that she would get sick.

"It's ok, it's ok, let it all out." Bucky whispered as he knelt down and used one hand to hold back her hair and the other to rub her back.

Sandra finally finished, grabbing toilet paper to wipe her mouth before she stumbled back into Bucky against the wall. "I feel disgusting." She sighed, her face being very pale. "And I'm also never sick, why now?"

Bucky shrugged, kissing the top of her head then rubbing it. "I don't know doll, but your going to be alright." He said, beginning to stand up and pulling her with him. "I'll make you some hot soup alright?"

Sandra nodded, allowing Bucky to carry her into the living room. "Don't call Steve about it yet, I want to figure out what bug I got first." She said, cuddling into the couches pillows and her blanket.

"Ok Sandy girl." He said from the kitchen, mixing the ingredients in a pot. "Do you want me to run to the store after I finish this and grab some things?"

Sandra smiled a tiny bit as she nodded her head. "If you want, but I'm really comfortable right here so your riding solo." She said, turning on the television to see what was on.

The first channel to start playing was the news, which was showing a photo of the avengers as the reporter spoke.

"Since their many side battles have come to an end, their final on being in a local queens high school, the avengers have gone completely MIA. With the avengers base being occupied by only two avengers now, what will happen during another crisis? I'm Mandy Zimmer and this is your local news." The woman on the tv said.

Sandra groaned, wanting to throw something at the tv but knowing she'd break it with her strength. "It's like they want something bad to happen." She said, pointing at the tv.

Bucky came in with a bowl of soup, handing it to Sandra as he sat next to her. "They probably just think we abandoned them, they'll get over it eventually." He said, kissing Sandra's cheek as she ate a spoonful of soup. "I'm going to head out, I'll see you in about an hour alright? Your ok here?"

Sandra nodded. "I'll be perfectly fine here, watching the news about how we abandoned our city." She said, smirking as she spoke. "But really, I'll be ok. If anything happens I'll call you."

Bucky nodded, placing a kiss on her forehead. "You better." He smiled. "You want anything while I'm out?"

"A puppy." Sandra said, smiling as she ate more soup.

"I- ok." Bucky said, figuring out what to do.. which didn't include an actual puppy. "Be safe doll." He said as he walked to the front door.

Sandra turned her head to look at him. "You too buck." She called out, watching him leave.

The house became silent very quickly, aside from the sounds of the tv. Sandra didn't like the quiet, it reminded her of how it was when she was on the run.

"Pick up pick up." She said as she attempted to call Steve, just to check in.

The ringing of her phone stopped when Steve had finally answered. "Hey Sandy, what's going on?" He asked.

"It's just too quiet here, I needed some sound." She said into the phone.

"You don't sound too well, is Bucky home?" Steve said, hearing how quiet and scratchy Sandra's voice sounded.

Sandra nodded her head, although he couldn't see that. "I know, I think I caught a bug." She said, putting her empty bowl of soup on the coffee table. "Buck went out to the store to grab some things."

Steve sighed. "Do you want me to come over? I can do that if you-"

"Steve, I will be alright here." Sandra cut him off. "I just need to figure out what this bug is. This morning sickness is going to be the death of me."

An alarm went off in the background of the call, Friday's voice beginning to speak.

"Sandy I gotta go, I promised Nat I'd help her with this red room stuff and today's the day." Steve said after being silent to listen to Friday. "Eat some more soup and get rest, I'll call you after we finish."

Sandra nodded her head. "Ok Stevie, be careful. I've heard the red room doesn't mess around with intruders." She said, their call ending just moments later.

Although she really didn't want to get up from the couch, Sandra also really wanted more soup. Bucky was becoming a better cook each day, but his soups were always the best.

"I'm back Sandy!" Bucky said as he came into the house through the front door, seeing Sandra curled up in a ball on the couch. "Aw my poor girl." He whispered, holding her face and kissing her forehead.

Sandra noticed he had two bags, one with food and the other with things from the drug store. "What'd you get?" She asked, adjusting how she sat.

Bucky handed her the drug store bag so she could look inside of it and see what he bought.

"Buck.." she said, lifting the fresh pregnancy test out of the bag. "You really think-?"

Bucky nodded. "It's been a good amount of time since we've done it, and morning sickness is a sign of pregnancy." He said. "I just wanted to be sure if you were pregnant or not to get that option off the list."

Sandra stared at the test, flashbacks of her first pregnancy all coming at her at once. How she could've had Bucky's baby in the 40's but ruined it after a meltdown. "I-".

"Just try it.. please?" Bucky begged. He had always wanted to be a dad, the thought of having a bunch of kids and a big family always brought him joy, especially since he came from a big family.

"A-Alright..."
