I wake up to Hunter circling my nipple with his pointer finger.
"Good morning, beautiful."
"Good morning, handsome. How long have you been ogling my breasts?" I ask him.
A sweet grin pulls at his lips. "About thirty minutes. I couldn't help it. They were right there in my face, just asking to be touched."
"I love you," I tell him.
"And I love you. Let's great dressed and go show everyone that we haven't killed each other. I'm sure they were wondering after you went all Ronda Rousey on Kimberly yesterday."
I laugh and cover my face with the blankets. I still can't believe I physically assaulted his ex, even if she did deserve it. It is so out of character for me. Hunter pulls the blanket from my face and kisses my nose, still laughing at me. I roll out of bed and grab some clothes, watching my sexy fiancée as he throws on his jeans, black pullover and signature backwards ball cap.
We stroll out to the lobby to grab some breakfast for the last time this week because we have early flights tomorrow. I'm sad to see this week come to an end, but I am also excited about all the big moves coming up. I need to call my boss here soon and ask her if I can extend my vacation a couple days. When I left for this trip, I didn't realize that I would be coming back home and immediately moving in with my fiancée, but no complaints here.
Everybody is already at the breakfast table when we arrive. They are all on the edge of their seats, waiting to see if our night was spent making love or chopping body parts off each other. I reach over and grab Hunter's hand to let them know everything is resolved. I hear the collective sigh as they see our hands intertwined.
"Well, good morning," my dad says.
"Good morning. How long have you all been out here?" I ask.
"Not long, we haven't even ordered yet. We were waiting on you all to wake up," Patrick says. He looks over at Helen and they smile mischievously at each other. They're up to something. "We have something for you, Jenna."
"For me?"
"Yeah, it's just a little something. Here," he says, handing me the box.
I unwrap the bow and tear off the paper. As I take off the lid, I see something gold and hear the giggles around me. I reach down in the box and immediately laugh at the contents. I hold up the plastic champion wrestling belt that these smartasses so thoughtfully gifted me. The entire table has erupted in laughter as I look to the floor, shaking my head.
"You guys are so funny, you know that?" I reply, my words dripping with sarcasm.
"We couldn't help it," Bryson says. "Once we knew you and Hunter were ok, we had to let you know how incredible it was seeing you tackle the devil herself. If this nursing thing doesn't work out, we think you have a real shot at an NFL career, kiddo."
I laugh and put the ridiculous gift back in the box. An employee comes over and takes our breakfast order as the guys continue their teasing about my uncharacteristic behavior yesterday. Hunter is highly amused and has now joined the guys in taunting me.
Fifteen minutes and twenty jokes later, our food arrives. Thankfully, I can get a couple minutes of peace while they stuff food in their faces. My mom fills the guys in on the plan to have everyone over their house on New Year's Eve. They are excited to say the least. The guys have really taken to my parents and I know my mom and dad love it.
"So, I know we all have packing to do today. What is the plan for when everyone gets back?" my mom asks, looking around the table. I am just about to ask her about renting a truck to help move my stuff when I suddenly realize that I haven't told my parents yet about moving into Hunter's house....in another state...further away from them. With everything that has happened in the days since their arrival, I hadn't even mentioned it to them. I don't want to say it in front of everyone in case they are upset, but I can't exactly dodge her question either. I don't know if Hunter has told the guys and I am hoping that if he has, they don't bring it up right now. If I can just divert this conversation, Hunter and I can tell them together in private. I also haven't talked to Helen about moving into my house either. This is going to be an interesting day. I look across the table at Patrick who seems to sense my dilemma. I am relieved when he speaks up and saves my ass.
