Danny crept around the neighborhood that was close to Autumn's. He was pressed for time and didn't want to be late picking her up, but he didn't want to give up on going for a stalk. He had parked his car in a remote area not far from where he was at, just out of sight from others. When it was close to 10, he would be able to go back and change out of his dark shroud before heading to her house. The thought of having her alone at his place was practically all he could think about, he couldn't even focus on stalking. There wasn't anyone out anyway and when he attempted to look through a window, all he found was a sleepless toddler that he ended up playing peekaboo with for a solid 5 minutes until the father came in to see what the child was laughing about. Danny ditched after that and sauntered around the neighborhood taking photos of Halloween decorations. He had a scare himself when he walked by a motion activated spider that blasted him in the face. He ended up falling backwards onto an inflatable witch that took to cackling. Danny quickly scrambled to his feet when he heard a dog barking from within the residence. He managed to hide in the shadows before the homeowner opened the door to see what all the commotion was about.
Alright, that was enough for Danny. His stalking session was a huge bust. Since he was already close by, he figured he would just go slink around Autumn's window until it was time to pick her up. He couldn't stop thinking about her anyway, maybe he could get another look at her round, little rump. Danny brushed his self off and headed that way with his heart a flutter.
Autumn was in the shower washing away the day's traumas and trying to kick the cold chill she had since being out in the rain. She herself found it difficult to think about anything else other than Jed. It felt nice to be getting positive attention from a guy for once, she just hoped that he continued being kind and respectful. Autumn really liked him, and after the events of that day, she felt a bit attached to him. She wouldn't admit that she had feelings for him, it was way too soon, but she did have a bad habit of developing feelings right off the bat. That never ended well though, and she definitely didn't want to ruin her friendship with Jed. Friends were few and far between, and she would rather have him as a close friend than nothing at all.
Wrapping a towel around her, Autumn stepped out of the shower. She felt much better now and the smell of sweet marshmallow pumpkin was comforting after having the scent of old blood stuck in her nose all day from her poor rabbits. If she wasn't thinking about Jed, then she was thinking about them. No more bunny nuzzles or kisses... Autumn sighed as her mind flashed to that gruesome scene. She never imagined that someone would kill her rabbits, maybe her, but not them.
Autumn walked out of the bathroom and made her way down the hall to her bedroom. She entered into the room and grabbed her brush from the dresser. Just as she was about to start brushing her hair she heard a crash from somewhere in the house, startling her. It sounded like something had shattered. Her heart began to race as her mind jumped to the worst case scenario... Autumn crept slowly over to the door and peered out down the hall into the living room. It was dark, she remembered leaving the light on before getting into the shower. She always turned the living room light on before taking a shower at night, it gave her a peace of mind. With the sound of something shattering and now the light off, Autumn was convinced that someone was in her house. She needed to call the police, but when she went to retrieve her phone it wasn't on the nightstand, she had left it in the bathroom. It wasn't far, all Autumn had to do was run to the bathroom and back to her room where she could lock the door. She braced herself and as quietly as possible, she darted to the bathroom. Quickly, she located her phone and grabbed it. She turned and was about to go back when she heard soft, creeping footsteps nearing the bathroom. Autumn was so frightened that she couldn't get herself to move. She had to though, or they would surely kill her. As swiftly and as quietly as possible, she stepped back into the shower and hid behind the cyan blue bunny curtain. Her heart pounded so hard in her chest that she was sure that whoever was in her house could hear it. She listened closely as the footsteps stopped right outside the open bathroom door. A dark shape could be seen through the curtain as they entered into the the bathroom. Autumn was close to panicking, but she tried to keep it together. The dark shape drew nearer and suddenly the curtain was pulled back exposing the frightened girl. Her blood ran cold as the face looking back at her was one she had seen time and time again in the paper, long, white and slender with black voids for eyes and an elongated mouth. He was heavy set, wearing a black hoodie with the hood up over the ghastly mask, gray tattered jeans, and faded red sneakers. So this was him, the infamous Ghost Face, and he was in Autumn's house. She was next. A blood curdling scream filled the bathroom and the killer brought his knife up over his head. He brought it down with a quickness, jabbing it into the upper left of Autumn's collarbone region. She wailed in pain as the killer twisted the knife back and forth. With a sudden rush of adrenaline, she shoved the offender off and he stumbled backwards, pulling the knife out. Autumn took the opportunity and took off out of the bathroom, but she didn't make it very far. The killer caught her by the hair and yanked her back where she slammed into him and they both lost their balance. Now she was on the ground fighting frantically to get away from the killer. He pinned her legs down with his body and began stabbing anywhere and everywhere, mostly missing, but he managed to stab her right upper arm and graze her other one a few times before she managed to get one of her legs free and kick him in the face. It incapacitated him long enough for her to get her other leg loose. She flipped over onto her stomach and attempted to crawl away, but he grabbed her legs and pulled her back. She screamed, kicked, and punched, but it was futile.
