TW: Death, funeral, brief mention of drug use, and discussion of s*xual ab*se involving a minor that doesn't go into detail. Remember, this is a work of fiction, but not void of the cruelty that the real word is infected with. I don't own Ghost Face or Danny/Jed, but this is my story and no one is forced to read it. I'm no stranger to abuse myself, so I'm not insensitive to it. Whatever opinion/feelings you develop for Danny/Jed are your own. I don't condone murder or abuse of any kind.

The next few days Danny and Autumn stayed in with the exception of taking Autumn to urgent care to get her stitches looked at. Danny had been an awful caregiver, he hadn't been careful with her like he should've been and her shoulder was a bit infected. He also made sure she wore her sling, especially when she was up. Autumn spent a lot of time sleeping and resting. The only time Danny let her get up was to use the bathroom or take a shower; not only was she recovering, but she was also his girlfriend and he wanted to take care of her.

Danny didn't stop working on articles during this time. He worked on the article involving Autumn's attack and how Ghost Face saved her. He had a huge advantage having her around because he could ask her about what happened. Of course, he asked her if she was okay with discussing it. Autumn would've done anything for him, but it was also her way of saying thanks to Ghost Face, her other boyfriend, for saving her life. She still was unsure about the killer, but she found herself wanting him, wanting to experience the kind of affection he had showed her. Her and Jed hadn't even made out, but she knew it was because he wanted her to get better first before they got intimate. He was still her favorite and she had moments where she couldn't believe that they were in a relationship. A creature as beautiful as him was actually her partner. Things were nearly perfect, if only she didn't have to worry about Ghost Face and the looming fact that she could possibly be pregnant... Her period was coming up and all she could do was hope that she would start.

-Thursday-

"Are you sure you want to go?" Danny asked as he gingerly scrubbed her scalp. "I know she was your friend, but I just want to make sure you're emotionally okay to attend her funeral."

"I-I'm sure... I never went to my grandma's and I regretted it," Autumn told him. "My m-m-mom didn't have a funeral... Sh-She just wanted to hurry and die..."

Danny tilted her head back to rinse the shampoo out of her hair. "Oh, I'm sorry, Auty..."

"It's okay. She was s-s-suffering with cancer... and she wasn't a very nice p-person..." she said. "I still loved her though."

"I understand."

Autumn turned to him. "What a-about your parents?" she asked.

Danny didn't talk about his parents, he hadn't spoken of them in years, but he also hadn't cared for someone like this in a long time either. "They were both really horrible," he said with a shrug. "My dad was a pedophile and my mom was strung out on drugs, she left me with my dad when I was four."

That made Autumn's mom seem like a saint. Her mom just had image issues and suffered with narcissism. "I'm s-s-so sorry, Jed... I shouldn't have br-brought it up."

He chuckled. "Don't be sorry, I'm sure you would've asked sooner or later when you couldn't figure out why I never spoke about my parents," he said. Autumn just looked up at him with her big, hazel eye and that's when he felt the slightest bit of nervousness. He hadn't felt that in a long time, but that was because he didn't talk about his parents. "What is it?"

"D-Did your father h-hurt you?" she asked with a great deal of concern in her voice.

"Would you feel differently about me if I told you he did?" Danny asked.
