Saturday came and the couple enjoyed their time out with Kim and Richard. The haunted house was a bit scary to Autumn, but she had been sandwiched between Danny and Kim. Richard was relieved when Danny volunteered to lead, but the ghouls in the haunted house made sure to terrorize the hell out of the guy. Of course he tried to convince them he wasn't scared, but the sounds of his screams made it very clear that he was terrified.
When Danny and Autumn got home they cozied up on the couch and watched part of movie before Autumn decided she was ready for bed. Danny laid down with her, but he had something else on his mind. Stalking. It had been awhile and he was missing it. He had been thinking about all night, it was somewhat distracting. He decided he would go out for awhile after Autumn fell asleep. It would be the only time he could ever go out.
Once Autumn was sound asleep, Danny gingerly got out of bed and quietly left the room. He then grabbed the door key from his office and went down the hall to his photo processing room. He dressed in his sinister attire, grabbed a camera and left out the window.
Autumn awoke and turned over to face Danny. She sleepily reached out to hug him up, but there was no one there. Autumn opened her eyes and found Danny's side occupied by Casper. She sat up and looked around with sleep in her eyes. The bedroom door was slightly open and there was light coming in from the hallway. Perhaps he had gotten up to go to the bathroom. Autumn laid back down, expecting her fiancé to come back to bed momentarily... he never did. She laid there in silence for what seemed like forever. Feeling a bit uneasy, she got up from the bed and put a t-shirt on before venturing out into the hallway. First, she looked toward the bathroom and saw that the door was open revealing the darkness within indicating it was void of person. So Autumn made her way to the living room where it was completely dark. No lights, no TV. Her uneasiness grew.
"Jed..." Autumn called lowly. Maybe he was laying on the couch. She flipped on the light and went directly to the couch. Not a soul. She felt the slightest bit of panic. Where was he? Had he left? What time was it? Autumn went to the front door and peered out the window. His car was in the driveway. So he had to be home.
Autumn backtracked to the hallway. He wasn't in his office, the door was open and the light was off. There was only one other place she hadn't checked... the room he told her not to go into. The door was closed, but upon looking closer, Autumn discovered that there seemed to be light from under the door, a very dim light. Autumn knocked and called out, "Jed..." There was no answer. She knocked again and nothing. She told him she would never go in that room, but she was worried about him and the anxiety was starting to crush her chest.
Autumn opened the door and looked inside. Empty. The only sound came from the blackout curtains that rustled softly from the gentle breezing blowing in from the open window. That was odd, why was the window open? Autumn grew even more concerned. She hesitated for a moment before entering the room. The walls were covered with photographs, but Autumn couldn't tell what sort of content was in the photos, the light was too dim. She tried switching on the light, but found that the light on the ceiling didn't contain a lightbulb, not even a globe. That made sense, it was a room for processing photos. How did Jed enjoy his work though? It was all pinned up in a dark room and not on display throughout the walls.
Autumn walked over to the table that was in the middle of the room. That's where the light source was at, coming from an adjustable desk lamp. On the table was where all the equipment was at where Danny developed his photos. There was a few bottles of chemicals, but nothing that would kill her or anything unless she drank it or poured it on her and that's not something she would do. So what was the big deal? She looked around the room and noticed a display of various knives against the wall to the right. They all appeared to be hunting knives of some sort. Autumn went over to the display to take a look. If Jed liked collecting knives, why did he keep them in here? Was this his collection room too? But he had his collections of Ghost Face and horror masks in his office... there were more Ghost Face masks in this room as well, scattered around. Autumn turned her attention back to the knife display. She noticed a few that looked familiar, she just wasn't sure where she had seen them. She never went anywhere... There was one knife in particular that she found quite curious. The hilt was a bone and it looked a bit rough, like it had been a home project. The bone was probably from a deer, did Jed hunt? He didn't seem the type.
