Perseus
I was singing when Luke entered the room.
He looked at me for a few seconds.
I stopped singing.
"What is it, Luke?"
Before he could answer, there was another knock at the door.
I stared at it.
Seriously?
Another interruption?
My patience was already running thin.
I grabbed one of my swords and marched toward the door.
I opened it.
"WHAT?"
The guard standing outside nearly jumped out of his armor.
"Y-Young Lord!"
I raised an eyebrow.
He swallowed nervously.
"L-Lord Chaos wishes to see you in the planning room."
Then he practically ran away.
I stared after him.
Luke sighed.
"You really need to control your temper, Perseus."
I looked at him.
"The guard might have peed his pants."
I shrugged.
"He should learn how to control himself."
Luke stared at me.
I ignored him.
I placed my sword back into its holder and walked out of the training room.
I closed the door behind me.
With a bang.
I didn't bother waiting for Luke's response.
I headed toward the planning room.
When I entered, Father was standing near the enormous windows, looking out over the landscape.
"Father?"
He turned.
"Ah. You're here, son."
I walked toward him.
"You wanted to see me?"
He nodded.
"I need to talk to you about the plan."
I frowned.
"What's there to talk about? Everything is going according to plan."
Father didn't answer immediately.
That worried me.
I studied his expression.
He looked...
concerned.
"What aren't you telling me, Father?"
He sighed.
"Perseus..."
I folded my arms.
"Just tell me."
Father turned toward me.
"You need to go to Earth."
Silence.
I stared at him.
"What?"
"You need to return to Earth."
Something inside me snapped.
