Perseus
As I packed my bag for the mission, I had to force myself to bottle up every ounce of anger inside me.
I had no intention of letting it loose yet.
There were certain people I wanted to deal with personally.
And I had packed enough weapons to make sure they understood exactly how serious I was.
Once I finished, I made my way to the transport room.
My team was already waiting.
"Let's go, team," I said.
I nodded toward the Gatekeeper.
The ancient mechanism began to glow as the portal opened.
I took a slow breath.
Earth.
I hadn't set foot there since that day.
The memories came rushing back—the betrayal, the accusations, the look on Poseidon's face when he disowned me.
I clenched my fists.
Not now.
I closed my eyes and took another deep breath, forcing my anger back down.
Then I stepped through.
My team followed.
The moment I emerged from the portal, I found myself standing in Olympus.
After all these years.
I looked around.
Chaos's realm had changed more times than I could count. Mother and Nyx had practically redesigned half the place at least ten times.
Olympus, however...
Hardly anything had changed.
I snorted.
Pfft.
I guess Zeus and Hera really don't like change.
Well...
Things were going to change soon.
Very soon.
As we approached the doors leading into the throne room, I pushed away the memories trying to surface.
I reminded myself why I was here.
Focus.
I could already hear voices arguing from inside.
I rolled my eyes.
Yep. They definitely haven't changed.
I raised a hand, signalling my team to remain silent.
We slipped through the doors while the Olympians were too busy bickering to notice us.
Only two people noticed immediately.
Hades.
And Hestia.
Our eyes met.
They smirked.
I smirked back.
Then my gaze moved toward the centre of the room.
And I froze.
My old team was standing there.
And at the front...
Was the bitch.
My blood immediately boiled.
For a moment, all I wanted to do was walk over there and rip her apart.
I took one step forward.
