I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked

Izzie walks into the Lockeroom with her scans in her hand. She hands the scans to Alex and he pulls her in for a hug.

"It's like it never even happened" She says while holding Alex ever so tightly.

"But it did happen" he responds "you got cancer and we got married and you died and then you lived again and we.. we got through it"

Izzie releases his from the hug puts her hands on his shoulder and looks deeply into his eyes

"Alex" she sighs "I know you said you didn't want to have a big talk but I really need to say some things."

Alex nods for her to continue

"I am really sorry I know I shouldn't of blamed you for me getting fired but I felt like everything in my life was just crashing down on me and I had to take it out on someone, and I know it wasn't fair to take it out on you and I shouldn't of blamed you. I really wish I could take it back"

They sit there in complete silence while Alex attempts to process what she's just said.

"Iz" he breakers the silence "What I don't understand is why you had to leave. I should've been the person you come to when something is wrong. Do you not trust me?"

"No, Thats not it. It's just that I had to escape here Alex. Everything was a reminder of cancer and George and now getting fired. It was too much trauma in one place and I didn't know what else to do"

Tears fill Izzie's eyes as she waits for Alex's response.

"Izzie, it hurt when you left and it was terrifying not knowing where you were. Not even knowing if you were alive. But at the same time.... Izzie, the whole reason I was so heartbroken was because I need you in my life, I don't know what I'd do without you in my life. I love you Iz and I can't lose you again so I don't want to give up on us"

"I don't want to give up on us either" she replies.

He pulls her in for a kiss as Meredith walks in interrupting them

"Oh sorry" she says "but um Iz can we talk for a minute"

Meredith tells Izzie that Derek is offering her her job back and she accepts the offer.

Izzie moves back into Mers house with Alex and  returns where she belongs at Seattle Grace
