Izzie Stevens: Here to Stay

P.Y.T. (Pretty young thing)

Izzie was back on OB for the first time in what's felt like forever. Izzie had barely been on OB since addison left. But now with the new attending, Lucy Fields, it seems like a good time to try OB again.

Alex was supposed to be on Peds so she was hoping that they'd get to work together but after making a insensitive comment he got kicked off the case.

After they told him he was off the case Izzie talked with him.

'Really Alex? Cabbage patch? That's disgusting'

'It's not that big of a deal!' Alex defended himself. 'You know we make names for all the patients!'

'At least I didn't have one'.

Alex stayed silent.

'I had one!' Izzie yelled at him. 'What is it!?'

'Um it's nothing I got to go' Alex told her before getting out of the room as quick as possible.

After Izzie and Lucy are done with their part of the surgery they head up to the gallery where Alex already was. Alex went on and on about how he 'deserved' to be down their until Lucy finally out him in his place before Izzie even had the chance too.

During lunch Izzie just kept trying to convince Alex the tell her what her nickname was but he refused.

'What's going on?' Cristina asked them.

'When I was in the hospital apparently people had one of those pathetic dehumanizing nicknames for me and now he won't tell me what it is.'

'You told her!' Cristina yelled at him.

'Of course you're in on it too. You know what?Someone in this hospital has got to be willing to tell me my nickname and I'll find someone who will.' Izzie left the cafeteria to go ask around.

They finished watching the surgery which was stressful to watch but successful in the end.

Afterwards Lucy was at the nurses station watching Alex sneak into the NICU when Izzie and Arizona walked up to her.

'What you doing?' Arizona asked

'I banned him from the NICU this morning. And now I'm trying to decide if I should kick him out or not'

'Lucy I'm sorry about him' Izzie apologized 'he can be harsh sometimes, but he's also the guy to get kicked off of a case and still watch the surgery through to make sure his patients alright.'

'Yeah' Arizona agreed 'We teach him to be less of an ass but don't need to teach him how to care.'

'Wait-' Izzie interrupted 'do you even have the authority to ban doctors from the NICU?'

'I have no idea' Lucy laughed and they both joined her.

After work Izzie went in the elevator and Alex joined her.

'I asked around and nobody is willing to tell em my nickname so can you please just tell me?' Izzie asked him.

'No it's not gonna happen'

'Fine, no sex then.'

'What?'

'You heard me. My legs are staying closed until you spit it out'

Finally Alex gave in and whispered it in her ear and she bursted our laughing.

'Wow that's a good one' she said through her laughing. 'That sound like a yang joke.'

'It was he laughed along with her.'

'Okay that was actually pretty funny'

'So are you not mad anymore'

'I think hearing the joke made it worth it' she laughed.
