It's a Long Way Back

Izzie was beside Callies bed with Arizona, Bailey, and Cristina cheering on Callie as she tried to straighten her fingers.

Izzie tried to be there for Callie as much as she could. She understands how hard a recovery can be and how frustrating it is being stuck in a hospital bed and Callie really needed a person who understood her.

Callie was really upset about not being able to see Sofia but Stark said it wasn't safe so Cristina and Izzie made a plan so Callie could see her. Everyone snuck her out of her room, avoided any attending in the hall and rolled her bed beside the NICU window. They brought Sofia's bed in front of the window so Callie could look at her. Seeing Sofia brought tears to Callie's eyes and was beautiful to watch.

Izzie was walking with Callie while she was pushing a gurney when Lexie and Alex walked up to her yelling at each other.

'Hey what's going on?' Izzie asked

'Alex solicited a patient for money!' Lexie told her.

'Alex!' She yelled at him 'are you trying to get fired?'

Alex defended him saying saying how it was for the Africa kids and it's a good cause.

Arizona interrupted all of them noticing Callie was overworking herself. Callie ended up working herself into a rupture and needed another surgery.

Callie after a few months got to go home with Sofia. And Alex was able to fund his African program. Everyone waited for the bus to arrive with all of the patients.

'I'm Proud of you' Iz told Alex as they waited for the bus to arrive. 'You didn't give up and you were so passionate about helping them and it worked. You did it.'

They greeted all of the patients from Africa and brought them to their rooms to get the surgeries they've been waiting for.
