Sympathy for the Parents

Izzie and Alex are peacefully asleep with the sound of their alarm wakes them. Izzie turns over to look at Alex with a big smile plastered on her face.

"What's wrong" Alex says concerned

"Nothing" Izzie responds. "Just.. you're amazing, I was just thinking about how amazing our kids would be."

Alex's heart nearly missed a beat when she mentioned kids. Don't get him wrong he wants to have kids, he just doesn't like to think too far ahead. With the childhood he had you can't blame him for being nervous about raising children. A part of him has always been terrified he'd do nothing to a child but screw them up.

Alex stayed silent, complete silence.

Izzie took that as a hint to end the conversations. "Okay I'm gonna go get ready for work.." She slowly walks out of their room.

Izzie goes downstairs and starts making breakfast when Meredith interrupts her.

"Iz, I'm having a relationship crisis"

"Wait seriously?" Izzie asks "Me too."

"Derek wants me to have a baby, and I'm totally freaking out about it"

"I tried to talk to Alex about babies and he was totally freaking out about it! What's wrong with you people?"

"I don't know!"

Derek walks into the kitchen.

"Hey someone is at the door" he tells them. "Apparently he's Alex's brother"

Izzie goes to tells Alex he is here. Alex is surprised since he hasn't talked to him in years but he walked downstairs to go see him.

While waiting for him to come downstairs Izzie and Aaron get to taking. He seems nice and the two of them are getting along very well.

She was surprised someone so sweet could come from Alex's family when it was a miracle Alex was even the man he is.

Izzie was surprised Alex hadn't been home in 7 years, he doesn't talk to her about family often but she still expected him to check in on them sometimes even if he doesn't mention it.

Everyone in the room was shocked it had been that long but they were even more shocked when Aaron lifted up his shirt to show a hernia.

Izzie assisted bailey on Aaron's case. He said slot of things about his and Alex's childhood that Alex had never told her. She knew his childhood was rough but he never mentioned foster care or juvie.

Meredith and Izzie were showing Aaron his scans on the computer when Arizona interrupted. Meredith introduces the two.

"Dr.Robbins this is Alex's brother, Aaron"

"Oh nice to meet you, I'm Arizona" she introduces herself. "How come I didn't meet you at the wedding"

"Oh crap we should've mentioned that" Izzie whispers to Meredith.

"Huh?" Aaron replies shocked and confused.

"Oh that's right, nobodies family came, last minute switch-a-roo and all that"

"What wedding" Aaron asks confused.

"Alex and Izzie's" Arizona replies thinking it was obvious.
