Perfect Little Accident

Lexie is in her bed positioning herself waiting for Jackson to get out of the shower after spending the night.

Derek unexpectedly walks through the door to see if Lexie needs a ride to work. Lexie jumps out of bed to cover herself up.

"What are you doing!? Get out!" Lexie screams

Meredith heard the screaming and runs to the doorway

"Ugh why are you naked" Meredith says shocked and confused.

"Oh god, Sorry, I was waiting for Jackson.

"Jackson was the mysterious man that ran out the front door 10 minutes ago? When did this start."

"Valentine's Day..."

"Valentine's Day!? Lexie you cannot be doing it with Jackson, he is a mercy wester. You are practically a Capulet screwing a Montague. Do you remember how that ended? You can't get attached to Jackson."

"I'm not attached it's just sex, no feelings"

"Yes Lexie you are a no feelings type of girl. Your heart lives in your vagina"

"My heart doesn't live in my vagina. Well not this time"

"Okay... sure" Meredith walks away from Lexie's room.

Arizona approaches Teddy in the pit and asks for help with a peds patient who needs a lung transplant.

Alex overheard and interrupts "I'm down with a lung transplant"

Arizona quickly declines his offer because he sleep with her girlfriend.

Arizona then turns her detention to Izzie.

"Dr.Stevens, would you like to be on my service today?" Arizona asked

"Oh of course I would"

Izzie follows Arizona to go see the new patient.

Meanwhile Meredith and Cristina are walking in the hall when Lexie joins them.

Meredith of course takes the opportunity to embarrass by telling Cristina the story about Derek walking in on her waiting for Jackson which of course leaves them laughing and Lexie embarrassed.

Izzie presented the case for Arizona and Teddy. He was a past leukemia and lymphoma cancer patient that developed pulmonary fibrosis. Dr.Altman had to tell them he was a high risk candidate and there were many options left for him.

After leaving his room Izzie suggests an ex vivo lung transplant, which Cristina was also interested in.

Though Teddy denied the idea saying it was too risky Cristina didn't give up on the idea and turned to Izzie to help her pull it off.

While Harper Avery is in surgery Izzie sits beside Alex as they all watch from the gallery. While they're all talking Alex leans over into Izzie's ear.

"Hey, I'm pretty sure I'm about to get kicked off a car so I have some free time if you want to go grab a bite"

"Wait why?" Izzie asks concerned

"Because when a husband and wife love each other"

"No, no, no" she laughs "Why do you think you're getting kicked off a case?"

"Sloan seems to have something against me, no idea why"

"Oh do you think it could be a Lexie thing, it's obvious he isn't over her"

"You think it could be? Isn't that kinda childish?"

"Have you met Sloan?" Izzie laughs

While watching from the gallery Izzie receives a page from Cristina and answers.

She walks in to see Cristina doing an ex vivo lung repair.

"Oh my god are you doing an ex vivo lung repair?

"My daredevil turned out to be a match"

"Cristina! You stole his lungs!?"

"I didn't steal them. The transplant team rejected them and I saved them from becoming medical waste. And you're not one to talk about stealing organs. Now do you wanna be badass and help me or not?"

"Oh, hell yeah"

The two of them begin to work on the lung repair together in secret.

Percy sees them through the window and tells Teddy what they did. Teddy storms in there and her and Cristina begin arguing while Izzie is keeping her eyes on the lungs.

While they are distracted fighting Izzie notices the lungs inhale and exhale and screams to get their attention.

"Guys.... guys.... GUYS!"

"What!?" They both snaps back

"The lungs, they're viable!"

After a while of convincing and patient and his sister they agree to the surgery.

The surgery was long and difficult but eventually he pulled through and the surgery was a success.

After the surgery Izzie walks into the locker room to see Alex.

"Hey babe, how did everything go with Sloan?"

"Not well, I think you're right about Lexie. He is taking it out on me. I'm not responsible for them breaking up I don't get it."

"I'm sorry, maybe it'll pass after a little while, after he moves on."

"I've heard about him sleeping with 5 different nurses in the last two days, I don't think he's doing a good job moving on"

"It'll take time but soon enough he'll let you back in the OR"

She gives him a hug and a light kiss on the cheek

"So how was your day?"

"I did an ex vivo lung transplant"

"Woah! Seriously? That's amazing , Iz"

"Yeah it really was. I'll tell you all about it but we need to head home. You ready to go?"

"Yeah yeah I'm ready let's go"

He grabs her hand and they walk out of the locker room together to head home.
