The news of Callie and Arizona moving to Africa caught everyone off guard. Alex was upset because Dr.Robbins was supposed to be his mentor and now he had no idea who the peds attending would be. Izzie really felt bad for Alex since he had finally found his path and now this was getting in the way, but she was also upset about Callie leaving when they had just started getting close.

Izzie and Alex head down to the lab for their trauma certification lab. None of the residents were really excited but it wasn't really an option. Hunt recreated a trauma scene with dummies and flash cards. He broke them all up into teams of four. Izzie was with Alex Jackson and April on team blue.

As if trauma certification day couldn't get any worse it started downpour raining.

After 3 hours blue team was the only team left standing.

Jackson and Izzie were just completely cold and wet and had lost almost all patience while Alex and April were just taking it out on each other.

Once they realized the helicopter wasn't coming Jackson stormed away and refused to finish his certification. Meanwhile Izzie Alex and April still tried to take care of their patients.

Suddenly April grabs her patient and instructs the two of them to do the same. They pick up their patients and put them in the ambulance. April hops into the ambulance front seat and drives them to the trauma bay. Alex is completely confused while Izzie just can't stop laughing.

After trauma certification they all go to Joe's. It seems that April and Alex are finally getting along which is a relief because Izzie is sick of them fighting. They all spent the night laughing.
