The SGMW residents were practicing for their baseball game. Cristina and Meredith were laying in the grass while Alex was actually trying to play. Izzie was just standing in the outfield staring off into space.

Meredith and Derek were still waiting to hear from the social worker about Zola. Izzie really was starting to worry they wouldn't get Zola. Although Meredith did lie to Janet it really seemed like it would be Alex's fault if they didn't get her back.

Izzie needed some more O.R. hours so Callie let her on her case. Her patients hand was pulverized and there was a chance Callie would need to amputate two of his fingers.

The patient told her about how he did wood prints, he showed her his work and he was incredibly talented.

Callie knew with his artistic abilities he would need his fingers. Callie completely rebuilt his hands to give him a chance to do what he loves.

While in surgery the patient started tamponading. They paged cardio and it turned out the patient had a dissection.

Izzie had to crack his chest while Cristina got ready for an aortic dissection.

Izzie and Callie spent so long working on his hand that the dissection was finished before they were anywhere close to done.

After a long day everyone head to the game. They were down 8 to 0. Meredith and Cristina were getting drunk in outfield and Izzie was not paying attention basically the whole game.

'Hey Alex, do you know the score' Iz asked him while wandering in outfield.'

'Have you not been paying attention the whole game?' Alex laughed.

'No but I did see a really cute squirrel over there.'

Izzie just kept staring at the sky practically the whole game and drinking out of Mer's flask.

They were down 12 to 0 with 5 innings left. They had no hope in winning til Lexie threw a ball at Julia and they forfeited. So technically they won?

Afterwards everyone just hung out and got drunk. Izzie was completely hammered and half asleep. Derek stepped away for a second to answer a call and when he can back he had some good news. Him and Meredith finally got a hearing and they'd get a court date soon.

Derek and Meredith left leaving just Alex and Izzie on the bleachers.

Alex had a big smirk on his face. 'Wait- where were you yesterday?' Izzie asked him.

'Um it was nothing, I just had somethings I had to do.' He lied

'Did you have something to do with that?'

'I may have talked to the judge told them where Zola would be best.'

'You're amazing, you know that?'

Izzie and Alex head home for the night.
