Lovers Reunited

"......it is because of the events that occurred today that I ask you to remain in your homes as much as possible until it is discovered exactly what the motive behind the attack was. However, through our investigations we have determined that the Leaf is not at risk for being attacked again any time soon.  There will be increased security at the village borders in the coming days and weeks as we continue to investigate this matter.  I'd like to thank you all for your patience and cooperation, you are truly what makes the Leaf Village so strong and long-lasting. Thank you."

Everyone stood in the bunker's living room watching the television as Kakashi was in the other room with Shizune, making an impromptu speech to the village and discussing the events of the day.

The camera shut off and the reporter back at the news station took over from there. Kakashi emerged from the room sliding his Kage hat off his head.

"Is there anything else I can do for you Lord Kakashi?" Shizune asked him.

"Yes, there is actually, you can drop the Lord title.." he said sarcastically, making her roll her eyes.

"Seriously, because I'm going home if you don't need anything.." Shizune said again.

Kakashi thought for a moment,"No I think we're all set for now. Thank you Shizune.." he rested his hand on Naruto's shoulder,"Naruto you should get home to Hinata and Boruto. You can escort Shizune back to her home on your way. Sasuke, go check on Sakura and Sarada but I'm gonna ask you to stay in the village for now while we figure everything out. Shikamaru, Temari, and Shikadai will stay here since they're on the hit list as well as my family."

Kakashi glanced over at the third member of Team Seven, knowing he didn't have any family to go home to,"Uhh, Mitsue, you can stay here in the bunker for now, just to be safe. You may not be on the Shioki's list but you're in close association with us so you may be a target by default."

Mitsue bowed in appreciation, he hated going home to an empty house,"Thank you, Lord Sixth...-ah!"

Kanari grabbed Mitsue and Kai's wrists and started dragging them down the hall as she limped on her injured ankle,"C'mon! Let's go explore the bunker and pick out our rooms!"

Mitsue immediately put his arm under her shoulder to help her hop along,"Kanari! Stop running you're gonna mess up all the work I did on your ankle!"

Kakashi chuckled as he watched the genin team start to get along. Well Kai and Kanari always got along for the most part, they were born minutes a part after all. But he was glad to see Kai getting along with Mitsue. Kanari seemed to bridge the two boys together, much like Rin did for him and Obito.

The group had just finished setting the outline for a basic strategy on how to deal with this Shioki clan attack. It eased Kakashi's nerves knowing no citizens were hurt, but that didn't mean the Village was safe just yet.

Their plan had three main primary objectives:

1. Secure the village borders, ensure the safety of the citizens of the Leaf, especially those in the clans on the Shioki hit list

2. Determine a location and time for an emergency five Kage Summit to ensure the balance of power and mobilize allies in case a battle were to ensue.

3. And find out who the mastermind behind the Shioki clan organization is by finding out what they have against the Hatake, Nara, Hōki and Inuzuka clans.

"Right we'll see you later Kakashi-Sensei, call me if you need me.." Naruto made his way out.

"I'm gonna wait by the entrance for Temari and Shikadai and then I'm gonna settle down for the night." Shikamaru made his exit.
