Fear and Love Part III (Kakashi X OC)

Captivity Pt. 2

"You're what?" Kakashi froze in his place, fighting back that cold feeling created not by the Earthen Ice Chains Jutsu, but by a panic attack that immediately started brewing inside him.  His heart dropped into his stomach, seemingly preparing to make room in his chest for him to attempt to calm himself down by breathing deeply. But it was to no avail. He felt the dire situation they were in only become more severe as he realized that his wife and unborn child had a jutsu cast upon them that would kill them both instantly should she stop molding chakra even for a second.

He had deep trauma from losing Takeo. He took on the responsibility of retrieving his death certificate, never telling Tsuki how many times he had to stop and sit on the side of the dirt streets of Konoha on his way to the coroner's office just to compose himself.  He took on the responsibility of setting up his funeral, never telling Tsuki how he had to excuse himself to vomit in the funeral home's restroom after picking out a tiny casket. He couldn't do that again.

He wouldn't do that again, he'd make sure of it. But the stress of their situation hit him like a ton of bricks now that he realized his unborn child was in imminent danger and his overwhelming protectiveness of Tsuki made him want to take on the responsibility of figuring out how to escape this Shioki prison all on his own.

But they were trapped. Trapped in a hideout full of thugs, limited to the use of Taijutsu without any available weapons, having to constantly use chakra to prevent icy spikes from impaling them from the inside out while his other half needed proper rest and nutrition to grow a healthy baby. Not to mention she was likely experiencing her own level of stress.

Kakashi was not a perfect person. And although ninety-nine percent of the time he had impeccable control of his anxiety, this time it had escaped his grasp. He felt like everything was crumbling to bits, his overwhelming sense of impending doom got the better of him and it manifested as anger.

"I'm preg–" Tsuki replied, ashamed she had to tell him like this.

"Yeah, I heard you the first time...." Kakashi interrupted, the sound of anger and disappointment lacing his tone of voice,"How far along?"

"Three and half months.."

"How long have you known?" Kakashi continued to ask his sharp questions. He tossed his ration pack towards her,"Take it all. I can't eat right now."

"I've known since week one."

Kakashi felt betrayed, and his panic rose to a boiling point so his body tried to compensate for the antsy feeling by standing up and pacing around the room while he picked at his fingernails"H-how could you not tell me?"

Tsuki saw the signs, but that didn't mean it didn't hurt to be having this conversation,"There was so much going on with the Shioki a-and I didn't want to stress you out further.."

Kakashi erupted,"Well a fat load of good that did Tsuki! Look where the fuck we are! If I knew you were pregnant I...I.." he clenched his fists as the volume of his voice got higher and higher,"I would have never let you leave the bunker! You would have never gone to the Sand village... You–"

"Well fuck me! I'm sorry for thinking of you Kakashi! You should have seen how stressed you looked from the outside! I can't imagine what you were feeling on the inside!" Tsuki yelled back,"You already had too much on your plate! I didn't need to add to that!!"

"Too much on my plate?!" They were practically in a screaming match,"I'm the fucking Hokage. It's my job to have too much on my plate!! I mean..... I-I...what the fuck is wrong with you, Tsuki?!"

Tsuki already had tears of anger and sadness welling up in her eyes,"What the fuck is wrong with me?! I thought I was doing good by not giving you more to worry about, I tried to tell you by the pond before we got captured! I wanted a special, happy-go-lucky moment because it's gonna be our last pregnancy, but that got all fucked up too!"
