Fear and Love Part III (Kakashi X OC)

Impromptu Five Kage Summit

Kakashi quickly sat up in bed, rubbed his eyes and replaced his mask as Tsuki went to answer the door. She peeked through the peephole and saw Kai and Kanari standing outside.

Kai pounded on the door again,"Mooooooomm!! I forgot my toothbrush at the last inn do you have another oneeee???"

Kakashi chuckled to himself, his son may be a highly skilled fighter and quick thinker in battle, but he was kind of a knucklehead sometimes. He reminded him of Naruto when he was a kid. Now that Naruto was grown up and had matured, maybe Kai was the Leaf's new number one hyperactive, knucklehead ninja. He relaxed and lazily laid his head back onto the soft pillow.

Tsuki rolled her eyes, and retrieved a spare new toothbrush from her bag and handed it over to Kai after opening the door for him. She was always prepared for his antics.

Kanari ran into the room and jumped onto Kakashi's stomach, forcing all the air out of his lungs.

"Kana! Your father is trying to rest!" Tsuki half heartedly scolded her.

"It's fine, Tsooks.." Kakashi said with a yawn as he cuddled his daughter, causing a warm smile to decorate Tsuki's face.

However, their little family moment was interrupted,"Lord Hokage...."

Kakashi opened his eyes and looked at the doorway to see a Sand Village assistant addressing him.

"The other Kage have arrived and they're ready to conviene in the meeting room.." he informed him.

Kakashi nodded,"I'll be there shortly, can you please inform Shikamaru as well? Sasuke said he's going to keep an eye around the village."

The Sand Shinobi nodded and make his exit towards the Nara's room, passing by two ANBU agents that were guarding Tsuki and Kakashi's room. Two more agents were down the hall, guarding the three genin's rooms as well although the twins left to go to their parent's room to bug them.

"I'm sorry, pumpkin. I've got to get up now." Kakashi said as he released his grip from his daughter while he stood up from the bed to stretch. He donned his Kage hat and robe and pulled the folder of reports on their investigation from his bag.

"Alright let's go guys.." Kakashi gently patted the top of the twins' heads.

"Dad?" Kai asked,"Do we really have to go to the meetings?"

Kakashi looked at Kai with confused eyebrows,"Yes, it's unsafe for you to be away from us.."

Kanari gave him puppy dog eyes,"But those meetings are so boring!!! We wanna explore the village with Mitsue!"

Kakashi couldn't resist Kanari's puppy dog eyes, and he looked to Tsuki for her opinion. Parenting was a collaborative effort, and although the Onaji duo often had a similar line of thinking, sometimes they didn't. Those were the moments they turned to each other.

Tsuki let out a sigh,"You will keep your mask on at all times. You will stay in a group with Mitsue. You will not leave the village walls. You will not draw attention to yourself. The ANBU will be guarding you for safety."

Kakashi made his hands signs and pressed his palm to the ground,"And Pakkun is going with you..."

"What's up, Kakashi." Pakkun said in his typical nonchalant tone,"Hey guys!"

His tone turned excited the moment he saw the twins as he eagerly strutted over to Kai to get scratches.

"Pakkun, Tsuki and I are going to be in meetings all day. Can you watch over these two and the third member of Team 7? There will be ANBU following you as well but they'll keep their distance..." Kakashi asked.
