Fear and Love Part III (Kakashi X OC)

"Kakashi-sensei." Shikamaru said,"The other Kage have gotten back to us and they would like to know your stance on holding the emergency Five Kage Summit in the Sand Village in three days. The other Kage minus Gaara don't feel comfortable coming here since we were just attacked."

"They may not feel comfortable but the clans of our village are the ones that are being targeted." Kakashi said

"It would be irresponsible of us to leave!" Tsuki added,"Kakashi was nearly assassinated and they expect him to make the three-day journey with members of two out of the four targeted clans in tow? We've determined we have some window of time before the Shioki clan attacks again. They should be able to come here."

"If we leave, we'd have to bring Kai and Kanari, and probably Mitsue too. They're only genin and we cannot let them out of our sight with how serious these threats are." Kakashi said,"We'd need a whole team of ANBU with us for safety. And although the Hōki and Inuzuka are in safe houses, we'd be leaving them somewhat vulnerable." Kakashi said thinking out loud

Shikamaru rolled his eyes and nodded his head,"I already told them all that..."

Kakashi and Tsuki both rolled their eyes, politicians were difficult to deal with sometimes, even the reasonable ones.

"Gaara was the only one agreeable to come here, but he was outvoted but the other three Kage." Shikamaru said,"They argued with amount of security everyone would need, the Sand Village was the most efficient place to accommodate all those extra people.."

Kakashi sighed,"Well I guess then... In order to make this work, we'd need to travel quickly and as quietly as possible."

"And we would need to assemble a strong team." Tsuki said,"But I doubt if we were to run into any Shioki at all it would be as large of a group that attacked us. They probably scattered into groups like the one Naruto and team seven encountered on their way back from the Genjutsu Tree Village."

"And we'd have to leave tonight if we're going to make it there in time. Damn it, I wanted to go through the forbidden archives to see if we could find anything of value." Kakashi glanced at the to-do list he made on his notepad lastnight.

"Well bad news on that front as well.." Shikamaru said with another sigh,"It's a total drag but it looks like when they bombed your main office a bomb also went off in forbidden archives room in the basement, it destroyed a ton of our records. Right now the research department is cleaning up the mess and trying to salvage anything that might have survived the explosion.."

Kakashi hung his head in defeat,"You've got to be fucking kidding me.."

"Were they trying to destroy something specific?" Tsuki asked, making Kakashi's ears perk up. She felt his eyes looking at her, but she could tell he was lost in deep thought,"I mean why else would they specifically only target the main office and a portion of the forbidden archives, they could've just blown up the whole building if they wanted to."

"I was thinking the same thing.." Shikamaru said,"But we won't know more until they finish repairing the damages."

Kakashi rubbed his chin inquisitively, coming up with a plan,"Shikamaru, can you come up with a team to accompany and guard me Tsuki, the twins, and Mitsue? If you want to stay here with Temari and Shikadai I completely understand.."

Shikamaru nodded,"Temari and I are still debating, but in the meantime I'll assemble and contact everyone that will travel with you."

"Thanks Shikamaru.' Tsuki said with a smile as he walked away to begin his work.

"Tsuki, do you want to get in touch with the seamstress?" Kakashi asked her, making her tilt her head in confusion.

"You need another cloak?" She asked.
