Hi all! So to offset the fact that I have Kakashi and Tsuki in the middle of a big fight I figured I'd throw in a fluffy flashback to build their bond a little.
This takes place four months into their relationship, obviously before they had kids.
This chapter required so much research and time so lmk if you guys like it cause it's a bit different for me lol

Kakashi rolled over, his arms automatically reaching out to pull Tsuki closer to him. He had become addicted to this woman, completely smitten and fond of the warmth she brought to his bed. He never wanted her to leave. He wanted her to stay by his side forever, although it had only been four months. There was no doubt in his mind that this wasn't just a fleeting infatuation. Tsuki was it. She was it for him, the first and the last love he was certain he'd ever experience. Which is why he got butterflies in his stomach when Tsuki bent at the waist and snuggled further in his arms as he pulled her close, her hand resting atop his.
"Good morning, love." He whispered quietly against the back of her head.
"Mhmm.." Tsuki lazily grumbled back, making Kakashi huff out a laugh through his nostrils. They both had the next couple of days off, and his mind tried to come up with something they could do together. After everything she had been through, he wanted to spoil her, he wanted to take her on cute dates, make her feel special, loved, just like she made him feel.
It was definitely out of his comfort zone, as he normally preferred to stay inside and read but he felt like he could do anything with Tsuki by his side. He racked his brain, wanting to impress her with something cute and romantic, willing to drain his bank account to absolute zero if he could just make her happy.
Then it hit him. Tomorrow would be the start of the Toro Nagashi in the Village Hidden by a Waterfall. He figured Takigakure's annual paper lantern festival would be the perfect setting for a romantic getaway.
"Let's go to Takigakure today and stay for a couple of days." Kakashi suggested plainly.
"What's in Takigakure?" Tsuki mumbled in her sleep.
"Their paper lantern festival starts tomorrow. We can go today, buy some kimonos and getas and have a fun getaway for the two of us. We can get out of the Leaf for a bit." Kakashi held her even tighter, "I just wanna spend time with you and I want us to have fun together."
"Mmm, maybe if we can completely get out of the village, Lady Tsunade won't try to give us a mission." Tsuki joked, "It'll be a true vacation!"
"Let's pack and leave before she has the chance to contact us!" Kakashi sprung out of bed, "I'll make us breakfast!"
Tsuki smiled, hopping up as well, excited to have a fun getaway with her boyfriend she was head over heels for.
They moved as fast as they could, getting ready with their packs on their back as they zoomed out of the village towards their getaway.
They were walking through the bright green forest, small rays of sunlight shone through the gaps in the leaves, occasionally making them squint their eyes as they walked.
Kakashi couldn't help but look over at her every once in a while, he specifically always stood on her left side, so his opened right eye could wander over to glance at her. He knew they were in the honeymoon phase, but he didn't care, he was proud of the fact that a girl like her found something worthwhile in his dreary soul.
He reached his right hand out to grab her left hand, interlocking their pinkies together as they walked. Tsuki couldn't help the warm smile that spread across her face, the lightest touch from his hand awakening the butterflies in her stomach.
