"Here. Try this."

Yanjing put a glass before Xiao Hua. The mild orange coloured drink with a slice of lemon squeezed onto the edge of the cylindrical-shaped glass was appealing but Xiao Hua didn't take it. He looked at Yanjing with a questioning face.

"You look tired. This will help." Yanjing explained hoping his good intentions only will reach the other.

"Just drink it. It's on the house...

I'll go make one more glass for Wuxie too."

Yanjing could easily say that the other one is proud and cold. He won't accept. So, he used Wuxie.

The drink was tempting and seeing it's not special for him which will bother him in future, Xiao Hua took a sip. Yanjing smiled finally seeing his efforts bloom.

"How is it?" Yanjing asked even though he wasn't expecting a good compliment.

"Ok." That's it.

"Good. That will be a 10 on others' standard." Yanjing said making the other's eyebrows twitch.

"Are you saying my standards are high?"

"Don't you think?"

"If that why would I come here?"

"Who knows?" Yanjing said then whispering "may you wanted to see me."

Of course, the second part was inaudible to Xiao Hua. Xiao Hua being such vigilant he could catch some of it but still wasn't sure of what he heard.

"Did you say something else?"

Yanjing didn't reply or denied but shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

"Such a nuisance." Xiao Hua mouthed which was enough for Yanjing could hear. But to the contradiction, Yanjing had a smile as he accomplished something big despite getting tarred.

After the hard labour Wuxie had sat near the far corner table sipping the special drink from Yanjing. The bar was fully packed by now and Pangzi was also back. He also got a free drink. But the discussion after wasn't that pleasant for the three. Pangzi couldn't find who was behind the boy who killed the inspector.

"I have no idea what else to do. His background is so clean and there isn't a sign of them being threatened." Pangzi said, his head hanging low.

"It's fine. You did well." Xiao Hua complimented him as he finds the other disheartened. Pangzi replied with a faint smile. He was still guilty as he couldn't be of much help.

Whereas Wuxie's eyes and ears were fixed somewhere else. He didn't care much now as he had already deduced that they won't be able to trace the killer any soon. It's a shame and he wasn't okay with it, still; the situation demands them to be passive now.

Wuxie was in another world but soon brought back to where he was sitting with a loud smack on his head.

"Oww... That hurts Xiao Hua."

"It should bleed still won't be enough. Can't you see the situation where we are? You better do something Wuxie. I'm not feeling that good staying here like this."

Xiao Hua expressed his discomfort. It wasn't something that escaped Wuxie's eyes. Wuxie was already aware of it and he also knows the reason is not only the case they are handling. He couldn't help but smile thinking of it but only rewarded him with another smack.

"Don't. My head is so precious you know. Pangzi looks at him. You scold him now." Wuxie wailed, rubbing his head.

"Me? No, no. I better stay out of it." Pangzi took the wise decision.
