It was a little past eight, the time we agreed to meet at the front courtyard. After my dream last night, I got up to try and research more about where to find used Magic Crystals, and places that might be filled with a lot of magic. I've gotten a few places written down as possibilities. After that, I didn't get much sleep, since I was way too excited to leave the next night to explore these areas I'd marked down.
Dream Amon gave me a few pointers and tips that even the Amon right now will probably stress about. Don't stay out too late. Leave a note in case of an emergency. Stay hidden. Don't use your own magic. Go prepared.
And because of all that, I didn't get much sleep last night. I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately anyways. When I checked in the mirror this morning, the bags under my eyes were faintly visible. If only I had brought my makeup bag from the Land of Reason. Then I could hide these dark circles.
But for now, I'll have to play dumb.
"Hi," I chirped as I rushed over to where Sirius was standing, waiting for me. He was wearing such a casual outfit, his army jackets and military outfits were gone and replaced by a simple button up shirt and a pair of simple pants. "Sorry I'm late! I overslept!"
Sirius smiled at me, gently ruffling my hair. "Don't worry about it," he said, before his forefinger was hooked under my chin, tilting my head up to look into his eyes.
I cocked my head to the side slightly as Sirius frowned down at me. "Is something wrong," I asked.
"Did you get any sleep last night," Sirius frowned.
I bit my lip, looking to the side. I don't think I can handle the stress of lying right now, so topic changing it is!
"Stop worrying," I said, smoothing out the furrowed brows on his forehead. "You're gonna get wrinkles!"
Sirius blinked at me before sighing, his hand falling away. "Right, I'll try."
I nodded my head as I grabbed his hand, eager to look around. As I walked past, I almost missed it, but the vibrant blue coloring was, well, vibrant against the simple green backdrop.
"What's this," I asked, crouching down in front of the small flower. Weren't these the plants that Sirius was watering?
"Those are iris'," Sirius explained as he crouched beside me. "They're beautiful, aren't they?"
I nodded my head as I closed my eyes. "I think we had a few of these back at home," I murmured quietly. "They were in our backyard, but those were purple, not such an azure blue like this."
I felt Sirius nod his head beside me. "These flowers are pretty common around here, and they're quite easy to grow. Even if the ground is dry and rough, give them a little care, and they'll blossom beautifully. I actually thought that these would bloom today, so I got you to come over to check them out."
I smiled up at Sirius as he watched the flowers. "They're really pretty," I murmured as I gently brushed a finger against the soft, velvety petals. "Do they bloom at different times?"
Sirius nodded his head. "That's right. They almost always bloom at different intervals, but that just makes the blossoms even more beautiful, don't you think."
"Yeah, that sense of rareness does give it another layer of beauty." I rested my cheek against my knee as I watched the flowers. "So, is gardening a hobby of yours?"
I glanced at Sirius as he nodded his head again. "Yeah, I love how they always bring a smile onto someone's face no matter their day. Even if their lives are short lived, they're always meaningful."
